Take a look at Part 1 below!
Ok, let’s just start with the obvious. Locey can flat out shoot the ball. Not just shoot it, but apparently shoot it from anywhere on the floor. His jumper looks smooth and he looks confident in it. Locey stays focused through the jumper and can hit it even with a closeout and a hand in his face. Now for the rest. Locey can score at multiple levels, even showing some nice touch on a floater in the lane. He sees the floor well and delivered a few really nice passes. Locey even used the bounce to feed a cutting teammate for a bucket.
Haroldson is a prospect that I’ve been very high on for quite some time. Let’s start with the physical part of the game. The young man has a college ready frame and the ability to play with physicality at the next level. Long term, this could be a big advantage for him even beyond high school. I was impressed in this game with the way that Haroldson has become a complete player. He attacked the glass, moved the ball on the perimeter, and was available to handle when his team needed it. Haroldson has the look of a cagey veteran and I think that he could take Dexter on a nice playoff run.
Jahion Bond
Jahion Bond
Bond has some game to say the least. Defenses have to stay in front of him and absolutely cannot let him get going downhill off the bounce. Way easier said than done however. He can go 1-on-1 and break down a defender and even had a nice drive where he split the D and drew a foul. Speaking of drawing fouls, it seemed like Bond drew one every other possession. He did a great job of not just playing through contact, but drawing it and reaping the rewards from it. Bond is a prospect to keep an eye on from hear on out.
Sanderson keeps impressing and he does it in a major way. In this game he led Saline to another victory with 20 total points. It’s not just the numbers that impress with Sanderson though. First of all, he’s just a freshman and he’s been given the task to be a floor leader and the go-to option on the offensive end. When the team needs a bucket, they tuo Sanderson, and he almost always delivers. He plays the game with a basketball IQ and poise that you don’t often see in a freshman. This was the most evident trait that I saw in the Lincoln victory. He was calm, cool, collected and effective in a game that was heated in the previous meeting.
