Last night Prep Hoops took in the De Paul-St Marys of Rutherford game, which DePaul squeaked out the road win, 57-54. Who stood out?

[player_tooltip player_id='1401565' first='Zahmir' last='Pringle'] | 6'4" | G | DePaul

Pringle is an under-the-radar prospect who has been thrust into a leadership role as a senior after transfers out hit the program. He's responded by simply leading the team in scoring, rebounding and steals against elite competition night in, night out. He's got a high motor and can play anywhere from 2-4 at the HS level and likely slides in at the 3 in college. He gets to the rim on offense and does all the little things coaches love and is a very respectful young man on top of it.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411408' first='Jordan' last='Ghee'] | 6'4" | G | DePaul 2025

Ghee has a high ceiling and like Pringle, can play multiple positions. Just a sophomore, he's one of the more promising young players we've seen this season and a nice building block for the Spartans going forward. He can play inside and outside on offense and was a cool 4-4 on the foul line on his way to 20 points on the night.

[player_tooltip player_id='1456805' first='Johnny' last='Cotton'] | 6'2" | G | DePaul

Cotton is a sharpshooting guard who can create his own shot and was pesky from beyond the arc prior to fouling out late in the contest. He hit four threes on his way to 16 points. With the opposition DePaul faces, colleges should be taking interest--Their divisional games are loaded with scholarship level talent and then a non-divisional game like last night also featured opposition with 5 college prospects and he performed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1401992' first='LJ' last='Falconi'] | 6'4" | G | Saint Marys 2024

Falconi has a strong frame and can get to the rim but he was at his best last night beyond the arc. He's a tough defender on the perimeter and offers a well rounded game that will continue to expand with another year of HS basketball to go. He also hit four threes on his way to 14 points for the Gaels.

[player_tooltip player_id='1153981' first='Luke' last='Gaccione'] | 5'10" | G | St Marys 2024

The son of a coach, Gaccione brings a well refined leadership role to the court. He's a solid floor general and understands how to facilitate an offense. He's also a lefty with a good ability to cross up defenders and go to his right. He is confident to get at the rim through traffic and can move the ball as defenders collapse around him to create open looks for teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='1456822' first='Victor' last='Torres'] | 6'8" | F | Saint Marys 2024

Torres isn't a key offensive scorer most night and wasn't last night but plays his role well. He can finish around the rim, grab second chance points, fight for rebounds and plays tough defense in the post. He joined the football team in the fall and if he plays this year, can benefit from an offseason in the weight room under Coach Johnson before hitting the hardwood for what could be a real breakout senior season.
