<p>Here are my top ten candidates for Class A Player of the Year as we head into the final five/six weeks of the 2022-23 season!</p>

<li>[player_tooltip player_id='962224' first='Will' last='Opsahl'] of Goodhue (sr). Will has his team at 4th in the state and is doing so many different things for his team to be winning at a high level against a schedule that is mostly bigger schools. </li>

<li>[player_tooltip player_id='1288733' first='Isaac' last='Asuma'] of Cherry (jr). Asuma is averaging 21 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6 assists and three steals for a top five team in class A and doing it while shooting 56 percent from the floor. </li>

<li>[player_tooltip player_id='1284165' first='Kaydin' last='Lee'] of Cass Lake-Bena (jr). Averaging team leading numbers of 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists for the second ranked team in the state. (Teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1284127' first='Dominic' last='Fairbanks']-Staples is averaging 21 points, 4 boards and 3.5 assists)</li>

<li>[player_tooltip player_id='962284' first='Isaac' last='Matti'] of Hayfield (sr). Averaging 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists a game for a top ten Vikings team that has played one of the toughest schedules in Class A basketball. </li>

<li>Aiden Wichman of RTR (sr). Aiden has his team undefeated on the season scoring 17.5 points per game shooting 40+ percent at the arc with six assists and a couple steals a game. ([player_tooltip player_id='1284129' first='Drew' last='Werkman'] at 17.2 points and 7.6 boards a game shooting 65 percent for the season)!</li>

<li>[player_tooltip player_id='962256' first='Buay' last='Koak'] of Lyle/Austin Pacelli (sr). Recently coming off a 43 point game and going over 2,000 career points, Koak has his team near the top ten scoring 26 points a game. </li>

<li>[player_tooltip player_id='1411178' first='Brayson' last='Boike'] of Dawson-Boyd (soph). Scoring 21 a game with just over nine rebounds a contest, Boike has his team ranked 7th in the state at 19-3. </li>

<li>[player_tooltip player_id='962209' first='Asher' last='Zubich'] of Mt. Iron Buhl (sr). Asher is scoring 26 points a game shooting 43 percent at the arc with 5 assists and 5 boards a game. </li>

<li>Erik Reader of New Life Academy (sr). At 16 points and 13 rebounds a game for the 5th ranked team in the state, Erik's low post paint control is a big reason NLA is thinking state run again (Teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1225656' first='Max' last='Briggs'] is averaging 13 points and 7 assists).</li>

<li>[player_tooltip player_id='1326146' first='Mason' last='Hammer'] of Henning (sr). Ranked third in state at 21-1 with a balanced team, Hammer is the leading scorer and the veteran leader of the Hornets. </li>
