The cutoff for the state tournament is a little over a month as teams are trying to place themselves in a good position. The Central Jersey section is intriguing as two sectional champions are competing in different sections this season. Here are the under the radar Central Jersey prospects to watch who could make an impact on the state tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150289' first='Malachi' last='Harris'], 5'10 PG Freehold Township 2023

Harris has been a steady force for the Patriots this season as he has emerged as the perfect compliment to forward [player_tooltip player_id='1013095' first='Jayden' last='Holmes-Cotter']. The 5'10 guard has a good handle and a quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and finish around the basket. Harris has a nice touch on his floater and can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. He is an underrated rebounder and moves his feet on the defensive end. Harris will be one to watch down the stretch as he will be running the offense and finishing around the basket for Freehold Township in 2023.

Volodymyr Trotsko, 6'6 F Colts Neck 2025

[player_tooltip player_id='1150261' first='Will' last='Surdez'] has been the go-to guy for the Cougars this season, but Trotsko is starting to heat up. The 6'6 forward has a good face-up game as he can put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. Trotsko can make opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc as he knocked down six triples in a game this season. He works hard on the glass and can get deflections on the defensive end. Trotsko has a pair of 20-point games this season and should have more as the season continues for Colts Neck.

[player_tooltip player_id='1401568' first='Roman' last='Santos'], 6'5 SF South River 2023

Santos is the top scorer for the undefeated Rams this season as he has been consistent for them all season. The 6'5 forward knows how to get position down low and has a nice touch around the basket. Santos has a decent handle as he can put the ball on the floor and has a good touch on his free throws. He is an underrated rebounder and rarely makes bad decisions with the ball in his hands. Santos' ability to score inside and out is something that will help his stock in a big way this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1206522' first='Asan' last='Jones'], 6'3 CG Eagle Academy 2023

Jones has been solid for Eagle Academy this season as he has done a little bit of everything for them this season. The 6'3 guard is unselfish as he is a willing passer and looks to get his teammates involved in the half court offense. Jones has a good handle, which he uses to get by his defender and get to the basket. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and makes plays on the defensive end. Jones' versatility is something that will be key for Eagle Academy as 2023 rolls on.

Chris Wilson, 6'4 F Trenton 2023

Wilson is in the middle of a breakout season for the Tornadoes as he leads the team in scoring and rebounding this season. The 6'4 forward has a good touch around the basket and is unafraid of drawing contact in the paint. Wilson has an underrated face-up game as he can put the ball on the floor and knock down open jumpers behind the arc. He rips down rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his athleticism to make plays on the defensive end. Wilson has been dominant for Trenton this season and should continue his strong play for them as the season continues.
