He along with [player_tooltip player_id='1444756' first='Ryan' last='Luttrell'] and 6-foot-5 senior Theron Nixon lead a balanced attack that has Pope locked in for yet another above .500 season. 6-foot-2 junior Deven Royal has become a consistent producer. The Greyhounds are in a dog fight with Blessed Trinity and Alpharetta atop the region.</p>

<p>Coach Aaron Darling has done a sterling job transforming River Ridge's style of play from being anchored by two 7-footers last year to playing small ball this season. Jay McCord is a heat-seeking missile when it comes to getting to the rim, a crafty finisher in traffic. [player_tooltip player_id='1049232' first='David' last='Hansraj'] is a 1,000-point scorer, a tough lefty that has scored from all three levels throughout his career and provides infectious energy with his motor. Future Gardner-Webb tight end [player_tooltip player_id='820292' first='Jackson' last='Head'] has returned to the hardwood, bringing toughness and smooth game from the pivot, with the ability to stretch the floor. Hunter Apple and Greyson Hopf round out the backcourt, both capable of hitting the three and seeing the floor as distributors.</p>
