<p>The 2A West has some talented prospects to keep an eye on in 2022-23. Take a look at some teams to keep an eye on in the NCHSAA 2A West as the final two weeks of the regular season approaches.</p>

<h4>Reidsville Rams (14-0)</h4>

<p>The Reidsville Rams are currently unbeaten on the season with freshman duo [player_tooltip player_id='1716474' first='Dionte' last='Neal'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1628346' first='Kendre' last='Harrison'] leading the charge for them. Neal is a true two-way floor general already in NC's freshman class, posting 21.1 ppg, 11.8 apg, 6.1 spg and 4.6 rpg as a top name to know in their backcourt. In the frontcourt, Harrison leads the charge with 22.6 ppg, 14.1 rpg and 3.4 bpg. He's a 6-foot-7 big man that knows how to impose his will on the floor. Seniors <strong>Amari Baggett</strong> and <strong>Jerrel Wilson</strong> are a few of the complementary names around them to know. Baggett is posting 9.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 2.9 apg and 2.8 spg while Wilson is producing 7.3 ppg, 3.3 rpg and 1.4 spg in their rotation. They're a talented bunch that's currently unbeaten in the 2A West heading into the final two weeks of the regular season.</p>

<h4>North Surry Greyhounds (19-1)</h4>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1257255' first='James' last='McCreary'] and [player_tooltip player_id='951363' first='Jahreece' last='Lynch'] are a dynamic duo both producing 20+ points per game for the North Surry Greyhounds as they look to make another deep run in the NCHSAA 2A State Playoffs. Mccreary is producing 20.8 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 3.4 apg and 2.3 spg while Lynch is posting 22.4 ppg, 5.6 apg, 5.6 rpg and 3.0 spg at the lead guard spot in the backcourt. Senior guard Kolby Watson and sophomore Kam McKnight are two other players that are contributing to the North Surry High success. Watson is a 5-foot-11 guard averaging 13.8 ppg and 3.3 apg. McKnight is a 6-foot sophomore guard averaging 7.8 ppg and 3.1 apg as they're currently 9-0 in conference action.</p>

<h4>West Caldwell Warriors (17-2)</h4>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1059900' first='Malek' last='Patterson'] has some help this season in sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='1774476' first='Jordan' last='Patterson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1774477' first='Zion' last='Thomas'] in the West Caldwell Warriors rotation. [player_tooltip player_id='1059900' first='Malek' last='Patterson'] leads the charge, producing 20.2 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 3.1 apg and 1.9 spg at the lead guard spot. [player_tooltip player_id='1774476' first='Jordan' last='Patterson'] is right behind him with 16.4 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 3.2 apg and 2.4 spg. He's a 6-foot-1 guard that's worked his way onto the PrepHoops radar with his play in 2022-23. Thomas is the other prospect to work his way onto the PH radar as he's posted 11.1 ppg and 2.9 apg in the backcourt alongside the Patterson duo. They're currently unbeaten in conference action at 10-0.</p>

<h4>East Gaston Warriors (16-2)</h4>

<p>East Gaston High has emerged as a surprise squad in the 2A West with a 16-2 record and 7-1 in conference play. [player_tooltip player_id='1059716' first='McCaskill' last='Rivers'] is an unsigned sharpshooter putting in work on the boards and scoring front, averaging 20.8 ppg, 10.6 rpg and 2.8 apg. He's a mobile 6-foot-4 wing that's shown he can do a little bit of everything for the Warriors success. [player_tooltip player_id='1774487' first='Trenton' last='Sherrill'] has been another name to watch in the 2024 class, averaging 16.4 ppg, 7.2 rpg and 4.1 apg as another versatile 6-foot-4 presence in their rotation. He's a prospect that plays with a ton of energy on both ends of the floor and makes plays. Unsigned senior wing <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1774488' first='Connor' last='Rankin'] </strong>is another presence at 6-foot-4 that's been a burden on the boards, leading the way with 10.3 rpg to go along with 12.9 ppg. They're an experienced and talented squad to watch, that's for sure.</p>

<h4>Salisbury Hornets (14-5)</h4>

<p>They're probably the biggest sleeper out of the 2A West but when 2024 sharpshooter [player_tooltip player_id='1126297' first='Jayden' last='Harris'] gets going, he's hard to stop. He's a top name to know in the state of North Carolina this season as the Salisbury Hornets are currently 8-1 in conference action. He's coming off a 29-point, 6-rebound performance in the Hornets most recent victory over South Davidson. </p>
