Murray remains listed as the state’s top scorer with 29.1 points per game while shooting 49% from the field this season for Wesley Chapel (9-7). The 6’2 guard continues to showcase his offensive repertoire that includes a smooth jumper and tremendous downhill finishing skills. Impressed with his ability to create shots for himself when scoring in isolation situations. Murray recorded three 40-point performances in the first 12 games. As he fills out his frame and develops his defensive game, it shouldn’t be long before college coaches take notice and begin offering the rising prospect.
The 6’0 guard scored his 1000th career point this season while averaging 22.6 points game for Leto High (13-5) according to Max Preps. Delgardo is one of many young talented prospects on the roster but stands out with efficient shooting from the field at 41%. He’s also one of the top defenders on the team despite his smaller frame. Along with a natural shooting stroke, Delgardo uses his quickness and acrobatic lay-up skills to finish at the rim or find open teammates with sharp passing.
One of the more underrated players in the area, Nimmo has good length and versatile skills to affect a game in various ways. The 6’6 athletic wing guard is averaging a team-high 21.8 points per game for the Haines City Hornets (8-8). Nimmo is a phenom in the making. Possesses jump out the gym athleticism, can hit from deep and stroke it from midrange. He has the tangibles to make an impact at the next level because of his great frame and size. Another year of sharpening his bag of skills will bring more eyes on this prospect with untapped potential.
MacGregor received his 1000th point milestone honors before Calvary Christian’s matchup against Victory Christian Academy on Friday. The 6’1 junior guard has been a standout for Calvary (12-4) this season, averaging 21.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Crafty with the ball in his hands and makes eyebrow raising passes. Holds an offer from Stetson University and recently received a Division I offer from the NJIT Highlanders based in Newark, New Jersey.
One of the more explosive athletes on the list that plays well above his grade level. The 6’6 combo guard is averaging 21.6 points per game for Tampa Catholic. Knox is the younger brother of former Kentucky Wildcat and current Detroit Piston, Kevin Knox. He plays with similar tenacity and determination to develop his skills. Knox is a gifted scorer who can finish tough baskets at the rim and use his jumper when needed. He holds offers from the likes of Louisville and Kentucky along with a recent offer from Boise State.
