John Lash John Lash 6’5″ | PF Charlotte Christian | 2025 State NC is someone who is headed towards being one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2025 class. He is a strong-framed forward who is capable of putting up some absurd stat lines due to his ability to score inside and rebound the ball. His strength allows him to work past opposing forwards in order to score at the rim. He’s pulled down over 4 offensive rebounds a game in that time span as well, cleaning up misses and making opponents pay if they do not box him out with multiple bodies. It will be interesting to see his continued development and what else he can add to his game besides interior scoring and rebounding.
Gladden is having somewhat of a breakout sophomore season at Cary Academy with him being one of the stars of the show. He is a skilled scorer that really can shoot it from all levels on the floor. He’s a microwave who when he sees one shot go down, he’ll gain confidence and keep making more shots. This was evidenced in his most well rounded game of the year when he made 5 threes and scored 28 in a dominant win over Cary Christian. He has continued to make strides as a playmaker, setting up teammates well when his shots are not falling. As he continues to become a true combo guard, his recruitment should take off in the years to come.
Highlights
Mustaf has taken the state by storm with his transfer to Carmel Christian, and he’s such a well rounded guard that will make lots of plays at the high major level. He is elite on both ends of the floor, as he’s a tenacious defender against guards and wings alike. He gets in passing lanes and opportunistic with steals. However, his development as a combo guard has been special, as he’s become a great scorer at the rim and gotten to the foul line at a high rate. He also gets loose in transition by rebounding the ball defensively and pushing it up the court, either slashing or kicking to his teammates for open shots.
Eli Clark
Eli Clark
Eli Clark is someone who has broken out to become a top shooter in the class and the state. He knocks down 3’s at a 47% clip, and scores over 22 points a game, showcasing his jumper and scoring ability at all three levels. He’s also an elite shooter at the free throw line, converting almost 90% of his attempts. Playmaking is still something he’s developing as he does not get teammates involved at an extremely high rate, but he does it with care and boasts a high A/TO ratio as a result. The game moves slowly for him, which bodes well for his recruitment. He profiles as a great D3 or D2 point guard for a team that is looking for help at that position.
Degraaf sat out last year with knee issues, but has bounced back in a big way at his new school. He’s averaging a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds per game, and has the size and physicality for the college game. He’s a late bloomer, but his post touch and interior game continues to improve every day. He does a good job close to the basket as a rebounder and scorer, and it will be fun to watch him continue to develop. The sky is the limit for this kid who is a year behind many of his peers but has the tools to succeed.
