Continue ReadingLewis started the game off slow but eventually came up by showing his ability to shoot the ball from the volleyball line. Upon his making one the defense was forced to respect the shooting ability that allowed him to get to the rim and finish. Because of his ability to be such a threat, Edison started double-teaming him and he was still able to be a threat by making good decisions off the pick being set for him. At the end of the game they where up three and he had the ball at the top of the key and hit a contested lay-up under pressure to put the game away.

Jay Overton – Tobie
Overton-Tobie played with great strength throughout the game. When you first see him basketball player isn’t the first thing that comes to your mind because he is built like a line-backer. Throughout the game, he spent the majority of his time in the dunker spot and was able to take advantage of guards penetrating and finding him for contested lay-ups that he ended up converting.
Johnson played with great energy throughout the game. Throughout the game, he was able to get to the rim and finish in a variety of ways with both the right and left hand. It was timed in the game where it seemed as if he was about to get his shot blocked and was able to finesse his way to the bucket for a layup. Both on offense and defense he rebounded the basketball with his jumping ability and constantly gave his team second chances on the offensive end of the floor.
Parish started the game by knocking down a three and continued to be a threat throughout the first half of the game. His shooting ability allowed Edison to stretch the defense of Hale while they were running zone and allowed his other teammates to get opportunities that they most likely wouldn’t have. Parish plays with heart and a high level of intensity constantly picking up his teammates and motivating them to keep doing well.
Jordan Johnson
Jordan Johnson
Johnson started the game off hot hitting back-to-back layups and then finishing the quarter by knocking down two threes. He was able to bring the ball up the floor and disrupt the defense by consistently getting in the lane. As soon as it seemed like Edison was going to go on a run he made a play to put them right back in the ball game.
