Avit continues to play a huge part in their success. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>Thomas Batties | Gonzaga (DC) '23</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Batties and the Eagles are currently the area's <a href="https://prephoops.com/maryland/team-rankings/">top-ranked squad</a>. They have a balanced attack with multiple guys that can hurt you on a given night. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='1241877' first='Cameron' last='Cole'] | Highland (VA) '23</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cole and the Hawks are off to a 14-2 start this year. They've quietly been one of the better teams in the DMV. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='1127310' first='Rob' last='Dockery'] | Jackson-Reed (DC) '24</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dockery has led the Tigers to a 15-3 start with some significantly important wins along the way. The recent Texas A&amp;M commit is looking like a safe bet to be on the real list come the season's end. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>Cameron Gillus | Sidwell Friends (DC) '23</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gillus is another virtual lock given his importance to the Quakers, who are a top-10 team in our power rankings. Look for him to bring his A-game in that upcoming matchup with Jackson-Reed. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='999616' first='DeShawn' last='Harris-Smith'] | Paul VI (VA) '23</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Harris-Smith has been a dynamic threat all season long for the Panthers, who are definitely in the top tier of teams in all of high school basketball. You couldn't ask for a better way to start a senior campaign. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='1219879' first='Tyler' last='Perkins'] | Landon (MD) '23</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As expected, the Bears are much improved this season, with Perkins widely considered one of the more dangerous players in the area.
