He has great positional size to go along with his advanced playmaking tools at the wing position. Jones is very good at operating as the ball handler in PNR actions, he sees the game at a different pace and from a different angle than those around him. He comes off of screens with great intensity, his head up scanning the floor, and the ability to hit the roll man with a precise pass while the defense is still recovering. Jones attacks the paint with creativity to create shots around the rim for himself as well as others. When he enters the paint he draws a ton of gravity toward himself and can capitalize on the defense over helping by delivering swift dump-off passes. Jones uses long strides and quick steps to get to the rim. He has extremely long arms that he uses to stretch over the hands of the defense to finish. Jones is a 2-way 3-level scorer and one of the best to do it in Virginia. This young man has a bright future ahead of him.
