He always brings a high level of defensive intensity but in this matchup, he provided some much-needed offense for his squad, including a three-point shot from NBA range. They would come up short, but it will only benefit the Wolverines, if he can consistently provide this type of play through the rest of the season.
Highlights
Plays his best basketball when he’s able to get out into transition to make plays and that’s what we saw from him on Monday afternoon. His team turned up the defensive intensity as the game went on and were able to force some turnovers which led to transition buckets.

A name that we did not know much about prior to this event but he was one of the key contributors for 71st HS, scoring 18 Points for the Falcons on a night where they needed as much offense as they could get. He knocked down shots from three-point land, scored from midrange at a solid rate and converted some difficult shots on several plays where he was well-defended buckets.
His three point shooting was clutch for his team down the stretch of their matchup with Westover as he knocked down several big time buckets in the second half. He doesn’t hesitate about taking the big shots and has a pretty quick release to his shot which allows him to get his shot off before the defense can recover.
He’s continuing to progress at the PG spot and in their matchup with 71st HS, he found plenty of success breaking down defenders and getting into the paint at a high rate. He didn’t force too many plays and didn’t shy away from contact when he attacked the basket which led to high number of free throws which he capitalized on.

Another player that didn’t have one of his best shooting days but still found ways to be productive with his scoring and facilitating. He has the ability to score but doesn’t force plays often and does a nice of staying engaged on both ends of the floor.
Leadership is probably one of the most impressive traits that he brings to the table for his team as well as the energy that he brought on both ends of the floor. He’s constantly applying defensive pressure, understands how to use his body to make things difficult for opponents and even showed some of his athleticism as the game went on.
