Che Brogan
Che Brogan
Che Brogan averaged 12.5 points this week across Mater Dei’s two games. The lefty forward shows a great ability to get to the bucket and use his length to both draw and finish through contact (went 10/11 from the free throw line against JSerra). Brogan’s length is also a factor on the boards which enables him to be a 1-man fast break or help Mater Dei get into their half-court sets more quickly.
Zack Davidson Zack Davidson 6’8″ | PF Mater Dei | 2023 State CA-S averaged 20.5 points this week across Mater Dei’s two games. Davidson has been excellent so far in his senior season and continued his strong run of play with 25 points and 11 rebounds against JSerra on Wednesday night. Zack is one of the main focal points of Mater Dei’s offense and routinely shows off his playmaking ability by hitting cutters and setting up teammates from the top of the key or the low post.
Aidan Fowler Aidan Fowler 5’10” | PG JSerra | 2024 State CA-S averaged 13.5 points this week across JSerra’s two games. Fowler had his strongest game of the week on Wednesday night against Mater Dei, finishing with 19 points and 3 three-pointers. Aidan competed well in this one, having to score over and around defenders he gave up size too. Fowler utilizes a 1 to 2 dribble pull-up move that is effective in creating space against lengthy defenders but improving that shot would make Fowler an even more well-rounded offensive player.
Cameron McNamee Cameron McNamee 6’6″ | SG Santa Margarita | 2024 State CA-S averaged 16.5 points across Santa Margarita’s two games this week. McNamee was a major threat from beyond the arc this week making 4 three-pointers against Orange Lutheran and following up that performance by hitting 3 more three-pointers on Friday night against JSerra. Cameron is already a plus athlete who should only fill out and get stronger as he gets closer to his senior season. McNamee becoming a more consistent three-level scoring threat would make him an even more appealing option for coaches at the next level.
Rockwell Reynolds Rockwell Reynolds 6’8″ | PF Santa Margarita | 2023 State CA-S averaged 16.5 points this week across Santa Margarita’s two games. Reynolds is a major factor in the painted area and showed that on Friday night as he repeatedly hurt Mater Dei with dives to the rim and a bevy of post moves on his way to 15 points in a victory. Rockwell affects the game on the glass at both ends of the floor, and is able to utilize his length to make entry passes difficult on opposing guards.
