<p>2. <strong>Coronado</strong> 10-8 – The Cougars took #1 Bishop Gorman to the wire falling 66-64 in the Big City Showdown. </p>

<p>3. <strong>Durango</strong> 11-3 – The Trailblazers got a big victory over defending state champions Liberty. [player_tooltip player_id='1253131' first='Colton' last='Knolls'] provides the team with much needed leadership, defense, and shooting. </p>

<p>4. <strong>Liberty</strong> 11-7 – Mixed week for the Patriots. They picked up a victory over #6 Arbor View but fell to #3 Durango. 76-69. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1463230' first='Tyus' last='Thomas'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1266706' first='Tyler' last='Bright'] are major contributors for one of the top programs in the state. </p>

<p>5. <strong>Desert Pines</strong> 13-2 – Big week for DP. The Jags will travel to Durango to take on the #3 Trailblazers. Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='986961' first='Gregory' last='Burrell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1655032' first='Damonte' last='Duhart'] add balance to the squad, averaging 15 points per game combined. </p>

<p>9.<strong> Spanish Springs</strong> 14-5 This is right around the time coach Penny's teams usually start clicking. It's no different this year, as they have reeled off 6 straight wins. The Cougars have a lot of stars, but players like [player_tooltip player_id='1760724' first='Isaiah' last='Mezger'] are the heart and soul of the team, doing the dirty work while averaging nearly 4 rebounds per game. </p>

<p>10. <strong>Douglas</strong> 11-8 – The Tigers rebounded with a victory over Damonte Ranch. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1760748' first='Thomas' last='McDowell'] had a huge game against the Mustangs, finishing with 14 points 7 rebounds and 3 assist. </p>
