Blakey is one of the players in this class that I am most interested in monitoring his development because he’s long and pretty bouncy and looks like he’s going to keep growing. Landon is legit 6’6 and is expected to push 6’9 by the time he’s done growing. I’m not so sure that he won’t end up being a wing once his skills come along. Long term, Blakey is a very intriguing prospect.
Blakey’s teammate at Taylor County, Close is more of a throwback post player. He’s got a big strong body and is comfortable playing with his back to the basket and using post moves to get buckets. Bryten is shooting 63% from the field and is doing most of his damage on the block. One of the most impressive things he showed at our freshman camp last fall was a willingness to communicate on defense. Close looks like he could still be growing and gives Taylor a set of twin towers for the next few years.
Klope is starting and averaging 6 points and 8 rebounds per game in a smaller role for a veteran McCracken roster. Jackson is likely to be a featured player in the offense next year and beyond as his skills continue to grow. Excelling as a rim runner, Jackson will be tested this coming AAU season on the 3SSB circuit and could see a big stock boost playing against some of the best 2026 kids on that circuit.
Seth is a player who is honestly probably a little under-ranked right now and I’m interested to monitor the growth of his skill set as well as his physical growth. Definitely a low block scorer right now, Farmer needs to grow his skill set to be more comfortable with the ball in his hands on the perimeter. If he continues growing, he can eventually be a big time matchup problem for opposing teams. For now, he’s a name to monitor for a possible big move up the rankings.
