A long and athletic guard who can get to the rim and finish with the best of them, Aveion is a two sport star who could have scholarships in his future in both basketball and football. Chenault will have to improve his perimeter shooting to reach his ceiling as a prospect but he has the potential to be a lockdown defender thanks to his intangibles. Keep an eye on Aveion and a young and talented Douglass squad.
Jasper Johnson Jasper Johnson 6’5″ | PG Woodford County | 2025 #15 Nation MO gets the headlines at Woodford but Waide is having a very good season in his own right. Santonio is shooting the cover off the ball from three as he’s hitting nearly 60% from deep. An efficient scorer with a quick first step, Santi plays with a high IQ and is a willing passer. The only thing limiting his ceiling as a prospect right now is his height. If he hits a growth spurt, look for Waide to pop on to the radar for several scholarship level schools in Kentucky.
Butler is averaging a double double and has actually recorded two triple doubles this season for a Calloway County squad that is making some noise in the first region. Jonah needs to improve his outside shooting as he’s only making 25% of his shots from deep right now but he’s shown a high skill level and is a nice passer. He excels from the high post where he can attack off the dribble or operate as a facilitator for the offense.
Highlights
Often times when we update our rankings, we plug in players who were at our Top 250 expo on the back end to give them a starting point. Roark will be a big mover in the next update as he is having a monster season for Williamsburg. Averaging 22 points and 6 rebounds per game, Jerrod is one of the best slashers in the state in 2025 and gets to the free throw line a ton. He needs to become a better shooter from three and the line. If he can get to 38%+ from three and 75%+ at the line, he’ll average close to 30 points per game.
