Lay plays at a very small Class 1A school over in Northern Horry County. Jones father played basketball at North Carolina State while his sister played volleyball at Winthrop University. Jones has a soft touch around the cup and literally has only played about 30 games of basketball before this season since the Pandemic started back in 2020.
Lay has the chance to play here over the next few seasons on the Grassroots Circuit and get it after some. He’s currently averaging 9.7 ppg and 8.6 rebounds this season for the Trojans. His best basketball is still in front of him he if wants to focus on it moving forward. Will he keep growing? Will he get stronger?
Haliburton is a live body around the paint area for the Cavaliers. Damarcus is a quick leaper and at times can challenge and alter shots on the defensive end of the floor. He will look to hit the boards and stay active on both ends of the floor. Haliburton doesn’t get many touches on the offensive end of the floor, but he makes the most of his opportunities when given the chance.
Young made the move this past off season over to Class 1A Bridges Prep from Beaufort HS. Quentin likes to play the game in attack mode at times when he’s not scoring from the mid-range. Young and the Buccaneers have some pieces in place to make some noise this post season in the Lowcountry ‘ last=”].
Mr. Monroe sure doesn’t lack any confidence for his age. Ralphier wants to score the ball and take a big shot when needed for the Bulldogs. He has good range on his shot from downtown behind the 3-point line. Monroe has good length where he can be active in the passing lanes picking up deflections along the way. Ralphier plays over in the Pee Dee area in Bennettsville near the North Carolina/South Carolina border.
Stack came up big earlier this month when we saw him go off for 29 points in a game vs Andrew Jackson Academy. Stetson was able to finish drives with his left-hand when he wasn’t pulling up for 3-pointers today for the Eagles. Stack is a GAMER and wants the ball in the clutch at times. He likes to play for the big moment and seems to rise to the occasion despite being just a sophomore. Stetson is currently averaging 13.7 ppg this season for the Eagles (15-7).
