Set to release in the next couple of weeks, we’ll start with the current MD/DC senior class and for this article, we’ll look at some names who have done their job in earning a higher ranking.
Marvin Brimage Jr. | Jackson-Reed
Jackson-Reed has played in several big games this season with their most recent coming in a win to end Hayfield’s 40-game winning streak. Brimage has been a consistent piece along the way thanks to his three-point shooting. He’s always been a volume guy, but has seemed to become more efficient with his attempts throughout his senior campaign and it’s paid off with helping the Tigers to accumulating wins.
Ben Bradford Ben Bradford 6'2" | SG Gaithersburg | 2023 State MD | Gaithersburg
Bradford has been a man on a mission this season for Gaithersburg and due to their true lack of size throughout the roster, the 6’3 guard has spent time at all five positions on both ends. He was the leading scorer of the Governor’s Challenge at 26.5 points per game and looks to keep his hot streak going with his team entering the thick of Montgomery County play.
Ryan Sabol Ryan Sabol 6'3" | CG Gonzaga | 2023 State MD | Gonzaga
Sabol is a cog for one of the best teams not only in the DMV, but the country. The 6’3 guard has benefitted from 2025 Nykolas Lewis Nykolas Lewis 6'2" | PG Gonzaga | 2025 State #146 Nation MD ‘ ability to create open shots around the perimeter and has knocked his looks down in a variety of ways. As teams adjusted, Sabol showcased growth in his ability to impact the offensive end off the bounce to further add to his value.
Caron Smith Caron Smith 6'2" | SG Parkville | 2023 State MD | Parkville
Smith has been on a tear this season for Parkville, who remains undefeated. Smith is leading them in scoring and has been the x-factor in providing floor spacing for others to take advantage of. He has converted on 20 triples in the last three contests while shooting above 50 percent on those attempts. His impressive production is translating to wins and for that, he’ll receive a boost.
Gabriel Jones Gabriel Jones 6'3" | SG Archibshop Carroll | 2023 State MD | Archbishop Carroll
I’ve only had the chance to see Jones three times this season, but walked away with a confident feel of him translating well for a college program. He’s 6’3 with a strong frame, plays with a good motor and can rain in shots from three with minimal time and space. He should be on the radars of more small college programs.
Cameron Sparrow Cameron Sparrow 6'3" | CG New Town | 2023 State MD | New Town
Sparrow strung together a handful of big performances that caught attention and resulted in wins for the Titans. He’s nearing 6’4, has begun to fill out his frame and can be a nice scoring option as an off-ball guard. He’s also been taking on more of a leadership role with success by investing himself on the defensive end more and being vocal while doing so.
Raymond Watts Raymond Watts 6'4" | SG St. John's | 2023 State MD | St. John’s (DC)
Another prospect who has played his way to a boost is Watts. St. John’s remains unbeaten at 14-0 and the 6’4 guard was instrumental in helping the Cadets to their biggest win of the season in overtime over IMG. Watts has improved with his efficiency in the midrange, has proven himself as a better ball-mover and brings versatility on the defensive side thanks to his size and athleticism.
Kris Mitchell | Lake Clifton
Mitchell is currently unranked due to us not getting enough chances to see him in action, but he’s proven himself as a top prospect in Baltimore City this season. At 6’4, he takes on more of the undersized big role, but does it at an elite level. He’s build like a linebacker and can battle in the paint with bigs, moves his feet well enough to keep guards at bay and is a downhill nightmare on the offensive end. He’s explosive off two feet and liable to throw down dunks anytime he’s in the rim’s vicinity.
