Billy Richmond III Billy Richmond III 6'6" | SF Camden | 2024 State #21 Nation NJ , 6’6 CG Camden 2024
The High were always going to be one of the top teams in the state this season, especially with the addition of Richmond III. The 6’6 lefty explodes off the floor for dunks and has a smooth handle. Richmond knows how to get to his spot on the floor and moves well without the ball in his hands. He has used his length to create turnovers on the defensive end and ripped down rebounds on both ends of the floor. Richmond III has emerged as a secondary scorer for the Panthers as Camden looks to defend its Group 2 title this season.
Tae’Jean Wilson, G Eagle Academy 2023
Eagle Academy has gotten off to a hot start this season and Wilson’s play has been a reason why. The senior guard attacks the basket strong as he is a good finisher around the basket and does not mind drawing contact. Wilson has a nice handle, which he uses to create space in the half court and can hit open jumpers on the perimeter. He moves well without the ball in his hands and is an underrated defender. Wilson should continue his strong play throughout the course of the season as Eagle Academy has the potential to make noise in the postseason.
Mario Castro, 6’0 PG Gill St. Bernard’s 2023
Castro has started off this season on fire as he has scored at least 20 points in every game this season. The 6’0 guard has a quick release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Castro is more than just a shooter as he can also blow by his defender and finish around the basket. He is an underrated passer and moves well without the ball in his hands. Castro is a sharpshooter from distance who should only continue to get better for the Knights this season.
Chris Wilson, 6’3 W Trenton 2023
Wilson has been off to a hot start this season for the Tornadoes as he has three double-doubles, including two 20-10 games. The 6’3 wing attacks the basket with a purpose as he is a strong finisher around the rim and can draw contact in the paint. Wilson has a good touch on his free throws and can make opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and makes plays on the defensive end. Wilson is a two-way wing prospect who has stepped up in a big way for Trenton this season.
Dekari Harrell, Pemberton 2023
The Hornets are currently 5-0 and atop South Jersey Group 3 with Harrell leading the charge. He has been consistent throughout the season as he has scored double-figures in every game and has been clutch for them in key spots. Harrell does not mind drawing contact and is a solid finisher around the basket. He rarely makes bad decisions with the ball in his hands and is a solid rebounder. Harrell will be one to watch in South Jersey as Pemberton looks to continue its strong start to the season.
