Top Guards from Week 3

He showcased his versatility going 2/3 from 3pt range but loved how aggressive he was attacking the basket. He was great in transition and really seemed to get whatever shot he wanted at the rim. Has great size and length for the wing position. Marshall flirted with a triple double as he scored 24 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out 8 assists. He is a strong, quick driver that got to the rim whenever he wanted. Did a great job defensively getting steals and leading the break in transition. One of the few players on West Jessamine who didn't make a 3 on the night, but he didn't have to. He was such a threat getting to the paint that he didn't have to rely on his jump shot. Has good size to be a stretch 4 man at the next level. Quick release on his jump shot and is elite from 3pt range when he can get his feet set and shoots off the catch. He got hot from 3pt range going 4/8. Has a very quick release and is at his best off the catch. LCA did a great job passing the ball so he got a lot of open looks. Did a good job in transition getting to the basket. He used his quickness to get to the paint and put pressure on the defense. Was at his best in transition but showed he is capable from distance knocking down a pair of 3's. He took over the game in the third quarter to push the lead out. Did a good job controlling the game as he had the ball in his hands a majority of the time. Strong body that did a good job playing thru contact and getting to the rim. Showcased a really good mid-range game getting to the paint and making jumpers. Loved his feel in pick and rolls as he changes speeds well. He made some tough shots from distance both off the catch and dribble. Was really impressed how comfortable he looked coming off ball screens to shoot and also shooting off balanced from hand offs. Has a strong frame that did well finishing thru contact at the rim.
