<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Team Rose Shootout is one of the must attend events of the season.&nbsp; With 12 games and 24 teams over two days we got a ton of great evaluations in at the event.&nbsp; Now we review what we saw including right here in <strong>Team Rose Shootout: Top Performers Pt 1!</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1545128' first='Dalton' last='Scantlebury'] (Lane Tech – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Continue to really like where the game of the Lane Tech post is trending.&nbsp; At the Team Rose event he showcased his ability to pound the offensive glass for put backs, seal on the low block, and use a nice hook shot.&nbsp; Really effective shot blocker on the defensive end.&nbsp; He had 18 points.&nbsp; Looking like a D1 guy early on.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1215313' first='Rokas' last='Castillo'] (Lemont – 2023)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Castillo was outstanding for Lemont.&nbsp; The point guard was lights out from the perimeter knocking in three after three.&nbsp; Plus spot up shooter that can do it on his own as well.&nbsp; Creates for his mid-range shot and is such an active defender.&nbsp; Went for 21 points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1550741' first='Jacob' last='Rice'] (St. Laurence – 2024)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rice was really good against Farragut.&nbsp; The sophomore two guard has nice size and strength.&nbsp; Plus shooter off the catch that bombed them in.&nbsp; Showed some handles as well being able to finish through contact at the cup netting 15 points on a balanced St. Laurence squad.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1048310' first='George' last='Bellevue'] (Lincoln Way East – 2023)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bellevue has always been one of my favorites to watch in this class.&nbsp; High energy four man that is so active around the cup.&nbsp; He brings it every single game!&nbsp; Against Westinghouse Bellevue dropped 24 points.&nbsp; Seals, tip dunks, spin moves, and stepped out to hit a pair of threes.&nbsp; Works well out of the dunker spot and is a factor on the defensive end.&nbsp; He had 24 points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1285519' first='Stefan' last='Cicic'] (Riverside Brookfield – 2024)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Big bodied five has a college ready body right now as a junior in high school.&nbsp; Against St. Ignatius he went to work early and often down low with right handed hook shots one after another.&nbsp; Converts in the pick/roll and even flashed a mid-range jumper.&nbsp; If he can continue to show that it will be big for his development.&nbsp; Very good area rebounder and is a tough post defender in the paint.&nbsp; He had 16 points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1385292' first='Phoenix' last='Gill'] (St. Ignatius – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Best we have seen the top 5 2025 prospect play.&nbsp; He took over for a stretch in their win against RB looking ultra smooth in the open floor and winning off the bounce.&nbsp; Mixed in scoop shots and and-1s.&nbsp; Capable three point shooter that also spent a lot of energy chasing around RB's top wing.&nbsp; He had 17 points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Damarion Morris (Hyde Park – 2023)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Morris is a strong bodied combo guard that isn't the most projectable, but when he is rolling like he was on Saturday he gets buckets in bunches.&nbsp; Drained four from distance in the victory over HF.&nbsp; Mixed in some gritty drives for 23 points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='989268' first='DeAndre' last='Craig'] (Mt. Carmel – 2023)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Craig is headed to Denver next season.&nbsp; Like what he brings as a leader, competitor, and winner.&nbsp; Scored 18 points in their victory against Curie impacting the game in so many ways.&nbsp; Rebounds well for a guard and his floater game was on point as he lived in the lane.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1371067' first='Anthony' last='Ciaravino'] (Mt. Carmel – 2023)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Craig's senior running mate in the back court is a flat out sniper from deep.&nbsp; Nailed six triples off the catch for 20 points.&nbsp; High level shot maker that will make a small college very happy at the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
