The Team Rose Shootout is one of the must attend events of the season. With 12 games and 24 teams over two days we got a ton of great evaluations in at the event. Now we review what we saw including right here in Team Rose Shootout: Players to Track!

[player_tooltip player_id='1373439' first='Shaheed' last='Solebo'] (Lane Tech – 2024)

The D1 wing prospect opened the event up with 16 points creating off the bounce for mid-range jumpers, floaters, and getting to the cup in the open floor. Was a bit up and down in this game, but really like his potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='1428948' first='Ryan' last='Runaas'] (Lemont – 2024)

Runaas netted 11 points for Lemont in their victory to begin the event. Sleeper 2024 shooting guard that has a clean looking shot and can play defense in the backcourt.

[player_tooltip player_id='1545122' first='Caleb' last='Lindsey'] (St. Laurence – 2025)

Long and lanky small forward has a ton of physical tools that you have to like. He showed that off on the defensive end swatting a shot and being active with his length. Knocked in a couple threes on his way to 11 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1373442' first='Jonathan' last='Calmese'] (Farragut – 2024)

Calmese was a player we were looking forward to evaluating as we hadn't seen him in a long time. Strong bodied scoring combo guard that was up and down. He got to the rack a few times finishing with either hand in a 9 point performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1157209' first='Will' last='Gonzalez'] (Riverside Brookfield – 2024)

The point-forward from RB once again showed some flashes of what can make him a special prospect while still not putting it all the way together in this one. Passing feel at his size is impressive as is his long strides in transition. Knocked in a couple threes and used his long arms on defense to contest shots while scoring 12 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1373451' first='Jurrell' last='Baldwin'] (Hyde Park – 2024)

It definitely wasn't the performance we saw from Baldwin the previous weekend, but there were still several things to like. Physically he totally looks the part of a big time combo forward. He looked comfortable in catch and shoot opportunities. Fell hard on his back, but came back and competed on the defensive end making several impactful swats. Finished with 8 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1537995' first='Vincent' last='Davis'] (Homewood Flossmoor – 2023)

Bouncy forward that is at his best using his bounce in the paint. His second jump on the glass is impressive and it helps that he is a good free throw shooter. He had 14 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1056104' first='Chikasi' last='Ofoma'] (Curie – 2023)

Ofoma started off well early for Curie, but then struggled after that. Strong bodied undersized post is the top uncommitted big man on the board. Energy rebounder had 8 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285485' first='Richard' last='Lindsey'] (De La Salle – 2024)

The Simeon transfer has a college body along with a solid skill set. Mid-range jumpers were his go too. Liked what he brought defensively blocking several shots while also getting steals in a 13 point performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1048386' first='Jaloni' last='Johnson'] (Proviso East – 2023)

Silky smooth two guard that can knock in feathery jumpers from all over the floor. That is what he did in this one including three from distance on his way to 13 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1537985' first='Tolu' last='Samuels'] (Hillcrest – 2023)

Long and lanky power forward who is very impactful defensively blocking shots and getting steals. Relies on his athleticism around the hoop for put backs and dunks. He had 7 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1541249' first='Tyshun' last='Moore'] (North Lawndale – 2024)

Liked what we saw from Moore during the summer and he continues to show more. Clean jump shot including a corner three and sweet step back 2. Two guard snatches rebounds. He had 11 points.
