On Saturday at Brownsburg High School fans were treated to seven excellent games featuring some of the best teams and individual players the state, and surrounding area, has to offer. Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground all day long covering the seven matchups and you can ready more in our Live Blog that was updated throughout the day. Here are our All-Tournament teams from Saturday’s Sneakers for Santa Shootout.
First Team
Flory Bidunga Flory Bidunga 6'9" | C Kokomo | 2024 State #7 Nation IN (Kokomo H.S. 2024): The 6’10” 5-star center did not disappoint in his matchup against Zane Doughty Zane Doughty 6'8" | C Ben Davis | 2023 State IN in the sixth game of the day on Saturday. The Wildkats came up a little short on the scoreboard, but their star big man certainly did his part. Bidunga finished with 16 points, 17 rebounds, and 7 blocked shots in the 58-51 loss to Ben Davis. Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl, Purdue head coach Matt Painter, and Butler head coach Thad Matta were all in attendance.
Kanon Catchings Kanon Catchings 6'8" | PF Overtime Elite (GA) | 2024 #31 Nation GA (Brownsburg H.S. 2024): Catchings came out as aggressively as I’ve seen him play on Saturday scoring 14 points in the first quarter as Brownsburg quickly pulled away from Heritage Hills. He was able to rest for portions of the next three periods but still finished with a team-leading 23 points for the now 4-0 Bulldogs.
Gabe Cupps Gabe Cupps 6'1" | PG Centerville | 2023 State #80 Nation OH (Centerville H.S. 2023): Cupps brought out a lot of Indiana fans on Saturday as the future Hoosier guard finished with 25 points and 5 assists in the Elks loss to Cathedral. His playmaking ability was on full display as was his silky-smooth jump shot. The IU faithful had to have been impressed with Cupps’ strong play.
Logan Imes Logan Imes 6'4" | PG Zionsville | 2023 State #202 Nation IN (Zionsville H.S. 2023): There might not be a more steadying presence in the state than Imes. He is always under control, is excellent on the defensive end, and just quietly always gets the job done. The Penn State signee finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in a 62-59 win over a talented Gary 21st Century team.
Jaron Tibbs Jaron Tibbs 6'4" | SF Cathedral | 2023 State IN (Cathedral H.S. 2023): This future wide receiver for the Purdue Boilermakers should be getting some interest from Coach Painter to try and play both sports in West Lafayette. Tibbs had the best individual performance of the entire day on Saturday pouring in 33 points in Cathedral’s 64-58 win over Centerville (OH). Most impressively, Tibbs was 13-16 from the floor and 6-8 from beyond the arc. Incredible efficiency.
Second Team
Zane Doughty Zane Doughty 6'8" | C Ben Davis | 2023 State IN (Ben Davis H.S. 2023): On paper, Ben Davis probably has the best resume in the state of Indiana to this point. They are now 5-0 with another high profile win on Saturday after defeating Kokomo 58-51. Valparaiso commit Zane Doughty Zane Doughty 6'8" | C Ben Davis | 2023 State IN is a big reason for their early success. The 6’9″ big man held his own against Flory Bidunga Flory Bidunga 6'9" | C Kokomo | 2024 State #7 Nation IN finishing with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Most important, Doughty and the Giants got the win.
Nick Richart Nick Richart 6'9" | PF Zionsville | 2023 State IN (Zionsville H.S. 2023): Richart took advantage of a size mismatch inside and dominated Gary 21st Century for 20 points and 13 rebounds in the Eagles 62-59 win. A big block, one of his three, late helped seal the deal for Zionsville. The Charlotte signee is looking healthy and playing his best basketball to date now for coach J.R. Howell.
Papi Rivera Papi Rivera 6'1" | PG North Central | 2025 State IN (North Central H.S. 2025): “Papi” is the definition of a microwave scorer. He came off of the bench in North Central’s 79-52 win over Bloomfield and immediately got to work putting the ball in the basket. In total, Rivera finished with a game-high 21 points including three three-pointers. He is as smooth as they come in with the ball in his hands.
Trent Sisley Trent Sisley 6'8" | PF Heritage Hills | 2025 State #47 Nation IN (Heritage Hills H.S. 2025): The Patriots never really had a chance against Brownsburg on Saturday, but it wasn’t due to a lack of production from their star sophomore. Sisley was excellent showing off his offensive versatility on the way to 30 points in the 73-50 loss.
Logan Webb Logan Webb 6'3" | SG Linton-Stockton | 2023 State IN (Linton-Stockton H.S. 2023): Webb was incredibly impressive on Saturday in the Miners 64-52 win over Heritage Christian. The senior wing scored 24 points to lead Linton-Stockton and showed off his ability to score it from all three levels. Love his strength and shot-making ability.
Honorable Mention
Cam Brown (Beech Grove H.S. 2023)
Joey Brown Joey Brown 6'6" | SG North Central | 2023 State #280 Nation IN (North Central H.S. 2023)
Myles Colvin Myles Colvin 6'5" | SG Heritage Christian | 2023 State #51 Nation IN (Heritage Christian 2023)
Joey Hart Joey Hart 6'5" | SG Linton-Stockton | 2023 State #214 Nation IN (Linton-Stockton H.S. 2023)
Ashton Williamson Ashton Williamson 6'2" | PG Gary 21st Century | 2023 State #287 Nation IN (Gary 21st Century 2023)
