Game 1
SOUTHMOORE 64
OWASSO 50
Game 2
MIDWEST CITY
POCOLA
As a team, Southmoore went 10-17 from beyond the arc in their morning victory. Leading the charge was the senior sharpshooter with a 4-7 performance on his own from deep. The spark-plug senior has excelled as a spot up threat, which was again true today, but he also continued his development with a couple off the dribble threes as well. To further prove his credentials as one of the most efficient shooters in Oklahoma, Guerrero also went 7-7 from the line. He finished with 21 points, to go along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

Another efficient scorer for the Sabercats, the freshman had a comfortable scoring day where he took quality looks and converted them for 12 points on 4-7 shooting from the field. In the second half he confidently hit two contested pull up jumpers. He did have some “youthful” moments with turnovers (5) but overall looked the part of a freshman successfully getting his feet wet and adjusting only a month into his high school career.

One of the best parts of scouting is seeing the light start to come on for talented players who are just scratching the surface of the potential. Terrell has one of the most coveted combinations in basketball height and mobility. There are still times he’s gangly in his movements, but the flashes he showed today combined with high motor play was enough to speak to the high upside he has. It started on the defensive end with rejections and moments of guarding perimeter players. He also scored 15 points, including one particularly impressive drive from the top of the key where he only needed two dribbles before getting to the rim where he finished through contact. The sophomore’s impact on the glass needs to improve, hopefully added strength thanks to physical maturation helps him become a bigger factor on the boards.

Another game, another smooth scoring performance for the Midwest City Bomber. 20 points on the day, and it was one of the rare, true “3 level” scoring performances in the state He hit four triples for the outside part, while also continuing to smoothly stop for separation for the midrange aspect. Then his broad shoulders allows him to take contact well at the rim. Henderson was only credited with two assists, but he did display good patience and vision when driving as a creator. It’s been a very promising two day viewing experienced for the junior.
