The senior would not be denied, poured in 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Has touch out to the mid-range, but was most comfortable posting up and scoring on post ups. Got loose in transition for a showtime alley oop. He’s an unique athlete, who could’ve gone D1 in both football and basketball. He ultimately decided to attend Missouri for football. But will be hoping to take a State Title back to eastern Oklahoma.

Another small town hooper, who put on the pads and saw his football recruitment sky rocket. He’s also made the decision to play football in the SEC. With Missouri as the destination for the one of the kind WR-TE.
On the court, Terrell is an above the rim player. With power dunks, sky high rebounding and angry shot blocking. The lefty has occasion flashes of a jumper and handles. But is at his best as a rim running and “garbage man” style 4/5 forward. He’s anchored a pair of State Tournament runs for Pocola, including a Silver Ball last year. The Indians and Terrell will likely be back at the Big House in March, with aims to be the team to end the Dale dynasty.

The bouncy and strong junior was simply too much for the opposing Bearcats, as he had a 14 point and 13 rebound double double. He’s consistently playing above the rim, as evident by a rim rocking putback slam he had shortly after the game started. One of the biggest developments for Terrell over the last six months is how he’s starting to fill out physically. The once baby faced prospect, now has started to put on muscle and is turning into a load around the rim. He still plays with the same youthful high energy style that made him intriguing in the first place, and now is one of the top Class 2025 players in Oklahoma.

The first half against Idabel was pure dominance from the high upside junior. Terrell understands his role to dominate the paint on both ends of the court, he recorded at least six blocks in the game and finished well out of post ups and on putbacks. After having flashes of fluid movements as an underclassmen, he’s finally started to mature into his body with more suddenness and explosiveness. This manifests on the court with more violent finishing of ally oops and other opportunities around the rim. While also looking much more natural in turnarounds and other post scores.
It was a strong start, but like his team Terrell faded in the second half. He fouled out with a couple minutes remaining, so while he’s improving as a rim protector there’s still some room to improvement in that regard. But this game overall was another promising overall sign for Terrell. In state Tulsa is at the forefront of his offers, and Terrell could be an absolute steal for the Golden Hurricane.

The Pocola standout has only done one thing since the first viewing of him in June of 2022. Improved. As he’s grown into his body, he’s becoming more explosive. And if he played in either of the metro areas in Oklahoma, his now explosive and powerful finishing above the rim abilities would be breathlessly covered by the growing video industry around Oklahoma high school basketball. But it’s not just the dunks that make Terrell undervalued on social media, he’s a tenacious rebounder and shotblocker. As the junior continues to assert himself as one of the top upside prospects in Oklahoma, he also has Pocola as one of the favorites to make the Big House in 2A, with dreams of playing spoiler against one of the best teams in the state.

Terrell has been one of the steadiest risers among prospects in Oklahoma’s junior class and signs point to that ascension continuing this winter. He’s physically gifted with great nimbleness and leaping ability for a player his size. Small town gyms across eastern Oklahoma will hopefully be prepared to handle his power as he’ll likely be playing around the rim with authority all season long. Terrell and Scott give the Indians one of the best one-two punches in any classification in Oklahoma.

The steady rise continues for the small town gem who has starting to capitalize on his natural gifts to become one of the top players in Oklahoma. While he’s still chasing the top spot and even bigger college offers, along with long term success, Terrell will now have more of a target on his back.
The signs point to him making another leap this winter, but sometimes the leap from “good to great” can be tougher than from “average to good”. Especially for post players who can become isolated on the offensive end. Thankfully for Terrell he does have quality guard play as Pocola looks to make another appearance in Oklahoma City for the 2A State Tournament.
Another reason to bet on Terrell going from “good to great”, his outstanding motor. It’s apparent in the way he rebounds, protects the rim and runs the floor hard in transition. If he starts to become a powerful finisher around the rim, players in eastern Oklahoma and all over the state should be on the lookout for “head tap” slams. Mix in promising touch in the mid-range and on post ups, and Terrell looks poised to continue to rise a junior.

If you know what you’re looking at, Terrell is one of the better watches in the state. He’s starting to grow more into his size, and runs the floor so hard for a big. The energy is starting to leak over onto the defensive end with empathic and better timing on shot blocking. He plays his role so well and has brought great energy in seemingly every viewing.
Along with those traits, there was an impressive performance late last month against Crossings Christian at UCO’s team camp. It was bracket play on the third day of the camp, when a player’s legs should’ve been tired. But he still played with that same youthful passion and energy that makes him stand out. The best part, it came with an edge. Crossings has good size in Terrell’s AAU teammate Parker and 2026 standout Woodson, and Terrell went right at both of them. From battling for rebounds, blocking shots and impressively scoring through them. One particular post up score, led to Terrell giving a locked in stare down while he got back on defense. It was the right type of confident swagger. The, finish, the look, that fire, that’s what it looks for D1 level prospects.
Here’s the challenge. Some of the graceful finishes need to be turned into powerful slams. Layups don’t cut it up at the next level for 6 foot 8 players, hopefully within 6 months Terrell is threatening to tear the rim down on a regular basis. The upside has been evident for the small town star since first catching a glimpse of him at Oral Roberts’ team camp in 2022, and now he’ll have a winter where he should make another leap as he tries to help Pocloa back to the Class 2A State Tournament.

Two aspects separate the small town standout from similar forward prospects, his motor and knowing his role. While there are flashes of perimeter shooting with the lefty improving as a catch and shoot option, Terrell shines as a workhorse around the rim. Since watching the upside forward a year ago at ORU team camp, the upside for his frame and mobility was obvious. He has put that to good use as an active rebounder on both ends of the court, with flashes of being an above the finisher. Being more consistent around the rim as a finisher is a crucial next step in his evolution. After a spring against national competition, the Pocola forward has a handful of Division One offers with Tulsa, Cal Poly and Sam Houston State seeing similar upside out of Terrell.

Game Watched: ASAK EliternFresh off a pair of Division One offers, the growth in Terrell’s game over the last two months was evident. He’s developing into quite the impressive shot blocker in help situations. He picked up his first rim protection in the first half, then had a good stretch of hunting and changing shots at the rim in the second half. With his combination of height, long wingspan and lightness on his feet, it’s natural that he would start to develop into more of a rim protector.
One area of the improvement for Terrell on the defensive end comes when defending post ups. There were a couple instances where the same eagerness and bounce that allows him to protect the rim against drivers, backfired against pumpfakes. He’d bite on the pumpfake, leading to fouls or an easy score. A little more experience and feel in this situations, and the eastern Oklahoma prospect could develop into a game changer on the defensive end and as a rebounder.
