December 8th-10th I attended the prestigious Hoophall West located at Chaparral HS in Scottsdale. AZ. Some of the top teams in the West took part along with a few local teams to challenge themselves.

Here were the local sophomore and freshmen standouts:

[player_tooltip player_id='1129193' first='Koa' last='Peat'] Perry

A versatile and tough forward plays many positions for them. He is a high level athlete and will rebound and block shots. His catch three is becoming more and more polished and his second and third jumps are better than most first jumps. A very good passer for a forward and he can fall away from his defender and rise up over his opponent. He proved once again, he is one of the top sophomores in the country.

[player_tooltip player_id='1301344' first='Kingston' last='Tosi'] Millennium

A long forward who can catch and shoot from the three and rip thru and score through contact. His motor was standing out, as he was grabbing out of area rebounds and scoring on put backs. He will dribble drive and drop off a dime surprisingly well as an unselfish player.

[player_tooltip player_id='996172' first='D'Andre' last='Harrison'] Perry

An active forward who uses his length and skill to get it done. His motor on the glass is high and he plays hard. He plays with a huge IQ and cuts to the basket when he should. His elbow jumper is money and and will hit the three.

[player_tooltip player_id='1449361' first='Caspian' last='Jones'] St. Mary's

A bigger wing forward who is athletic. He can rip thru and score through contact plus hit the catch three. He rebounds well in his area and can handle the ball fairly well for position. Phipps and Jones are tough to handle.

[player_tooltip player_id='1276753' first='Ayden' last='Madi'] Brophy Prep

The younger Madi is getting some quality playing time on varsity off the bench. He is very smart to move without the ball, make the correct reads and be available from the three point line. He is not afraid to mix it up inside and will score on layups and/or put backs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1312333' first='Kenny' last='White'] St. Mary's

A lefty shooting combo guard is undersized but tough and skilled. He makes shots, he is fierce on the ball defensively and he collected a game high of seven steals to go along with his 14 points. He is clearly their third top scorer of the team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1354953' first='I'yar' last='Shadowvine'] Ironwood (Pictured)

A jet quick scoring point guard who is tough and fearless. Don't let his size fool you, this guard can go. He will slither his way into the paint and score through contact plus hit the three. He takes charges and his toughness was felt versus the talented Harvard-Westlake team from CA.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150844' first='Quincy' last='Everson'] Millennium

A tough combo guard who will defend and put points on the board. He shows nice body control in traffic to score, he can hit the three, pull-up from mid and he has improved his passing skills each season. He plays on and off the ball with no drop off.

[player_tooltip player_id='1697070' first='Jack' last='Hickman'] Chaparral

An undersized scoring combo guard was my first viewing of him and he definitely caught my eye. He can hit the three point shot and is a very patient scorer inside the paint. The lefty can burst inside and use the runner and play the game from the neck up.

[player_tooltip player_id='1323295' first='Brayden' last='Barrett'] Millennium

A thicker wing forward who can shoot it arguably better than anyone in the 2026 class locally. He can catch and shoot beyond the three point line with real range. He rebounds the ball in his area and moves the ball for an open shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1490239' first='Daylen' last='Sharper'] Brophy Prep

A long and taller combo guard is a two-way player. He has grown two inches since the summer. He rebounds well for a guard and he plays the one and two for the Broncos and sees the court like a PG. He can pull-up from mid-range and can initiate offense. His defense and activity for a freshman helps the team immediately.
