He did a nice job in this game both handling and pushing the pace. In fact, he looked much more comfortable with the ball in his hands and looked much improved as a passer. He showed that his game is much more diverse than he probably gets credit for. Stevenson brought it on the defensive end in particular. He drew a big charge in the game, showing a willingness to sacrifice for the team. Offensively, I really like his shot fake and think he could turn that into a go-to move. He's not just a powerhouse big. I really liked his movement and the fact that he can run the floor with ease and can finish it with 1 or 2 hands. Alderink defended the rim, picking up at least 1 block and altering shots throughout. He even stepped out and buried a 3 pointer off a pretty pass from his teammate. He brought some energy and hustle plays and was much more athletic than I had realized. Defense was the name of the game for this young man. I'd venture to say that he can be a big weapon on that end for his team this season. Strabbing showed quick hands and good use of defensive positioning.
