It is a loaded Friday night slate of Indiana High School Basketball games so let's dive right into the five biggest matchups of the night.

Center Grove @ Bloomington North

The Trojans are out to a hot 3-0 start after a 75-40 beatdown over rival Franklin on Tuesday evening. Indiana Wesleyan commit [player_tooltip player_id='1272949' first='Marcus' last='Ankney'] is leading the way for more high-powered Center Grove offense than we've seen in recent years. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1158238' first='Joey' last='Schmitz'] has been playing excellent basketball as well. Coach Zach Hahn's group will make a trip south this evening to play potential Sectional 13 foe Bloomington North. 6'7" senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='868224' first='JaQualon' last='Roberts'], a Vanderbilt signee, is the obvious name to know for the Cougars. This contest will likely give us an early leader in the clubhouse for "favorite" status come sectional time.

Fishers @ Noblesville

5-star sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1297052' first='Jalen' last='Haralson'] continues to play at an extraordinarily high level for #6 Fishers as the Tigers have notched a pair of victories since their opening night loss to Ben Davis. Haralson and company will get another tough test tonight when they travel to take on a very talented Noblesville squad. The Millers are 1-0 and feature a well-balanced group of veterans. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1042494' first='Luke' last='Almodovar'], junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1158209' first='Aaron' last='Fine'], senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1272185' first='Cooper' last='Bean'], and senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='868230' first='Preston' last='Roberts'] can all be Noblesville's go-to threat on a given night. Tonight they will look for a marquee victory over a Sectional 8 opponent to prove that they belong in the conversation of contenders this season.

Cathedral @ Brebeuf Jesuit

Defending Class 4A state champion Cathedral, currently ranked #1 in the state by Prep Hoops Indiana, has certainly proven they are capable of repeating this season. The Fighting Irish are 2-0 with a 93-45 win over Fort Wayne North Side and a 95-45 win down at Jeffersonville. Led by Michigan State signee, and Rivals #1 player in the country, [player_tooltip player_id='868219' first='Xavier' last='Booker'] the Irish will travel to rival Brebeuf Jesuit for a Catholic school clash on Friday night. Brebeuf got some serious scoring production from talented juniors [player_tooltip player_id='1578390' first='Evan' last='Haywood'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1275802' first='Reis' last='Butcher'] in their season-opening win at Cardinal Ritter and have had over a week off to prepare for Cathedral. It will be hard to match the firepower provided by the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='868227' first='Kamari' last='Slaughter'], [player_tooltip player_id='868260' first='Sincere' last='Germany'], [player_tooltip player_id='868251' first='Jake' last='Davis'], and others though.

Pike @ Ben Davis

Pike and Ben Davis square off on Friday night for a battle for west side supremacy. The Red Devils have yet to play a game while the #2 ranked Giants are already 3-0 with a trio of road victories over Top 10 opponents. Senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1049176' first='Devon' last='Woods'] and junior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1295383' first='Camron' last='Casky'], along with senior forward Jospeh Annan around the rim, will give Pike a chance to compete every time out, but the depth and talent of Ben Davis is undeniable. 6'9" Valparaiso signee [player_tooltip player_id='1042497' first='Zane' last='Doughty'] has had an excellent start to the season for the Giants. In the backcourt, [player_tooltip player_id='1273713' first='Sheridan' last='Sharp'], [player_tooltip player_id='1158204' first='K.J.' last='Windham'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1160716' first='Clay' last='Butler'] combine to create possibly the best backcourt in the state of Indiana. The Red Devils will have their hands full to start their season.

Warsaw @ Homestead

For basketball fans in northern Indiana, this is a must attend game. Both teams are out to a 1-0 start before clashing at Homestead this evening. Indiana Wesleyan bound [player_tooltip player_id='868247' first='Jaxson' last='Gould'] leads the way for Warsaw as one of the better pure scorers in the senior class. 6'7" junior big man [player_tooltip player_id='1547537' first='Luke' last='Yeager'] can be a difference maker around the basket as well, especially in the absence of [player_tooltip player_id='1158215' first='Tucker' last='Day'] for the Spartans. Homestead will rely on [player_tooltip player_id='868270' first='Kyron' last='Kaopuiki'] on the perimeter along with junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1547390' first='Will' last='Jamison'] who was very good in their season-opening win over Huntington North.
