Returning league MVP, Levi Pepper Levi Pepper 6'6" | SF Selah | 2023 State WA and Jackson Pepper Jackson Pepper 6'3" | SG Selah | 2025 State WA at Selah. The McClure brothers at Prosser. All four players are among the leagues leading scorers. One will challenge for the rebounding title and they can all fill it up. Maybe the most surprising stat is the younger half of the two combos both lead their teams in scoring to start the season.
He is a getting 14 points a contest in his first three. He pulled down a rebound total of 21 in one of those games. There might be entire teams who don’t get that many rebounds in a game this season. This is a remarkable stat but one he is likely to better at some point during the season. He is a beast on the boards. Then again, if you happen to have the last name Pepper, it’s just another day at the office. Noah Pepper grabbed over a thousand rebounds in his high school career at Selah which is one of the most remarkable stats I have ever seen. I expect his scoring to be much higher in games to come. He is an elite-level scorer in the 2A ranks. He gets to the basket and plays well on the open floor. He can get you with the mid-game and will shoot it from deep. He is best at getting to the rim and does so as well as anyone I have seen in 2A. Levi will join his brother and play at Central WA University next season. In the meantime, watch out for Selah, they are a dangerous team with the Pepper combo leading the way.

He has started with 17 points a game through 3 games. At only 6’2, he doesn’t3 have those crazy rebounding numbers just yet but has shown that he can score. He started last season as a freshman. In this his sophomore season, the scoring numbers are up and he is a much-improved player. He is a point guard with a scoring mentality. He can shoot the three, hitting 8 in the first 3 games. He has good ball skills and has no trouble handling pressure. Like the former, he can get to the basket. With his improved scoring numbers and all-around play, Selah is a better team this year.
He has started the season with 14.5 points per game. He is a returning all-CWAC guard, so no surprise here. I don’t know if many expected the younger to get off to this kind of start, the elder was already a proven player in the CWAC. He has an excellent mid-range game and shoots it well. Both are capable ball-handling guards. Both can be found pressuring the ball in the half-court trap, leading to a lot of steals and easy ones at the other end. Prosser is a team that got into the state field last season with a regional win over a tough Mark Morris team. The CWAC has a few teams that are state tournament capable again this season.

It has only been two games but the Sophomore guard leads Prosser in scoring at 21.5 a game so far. That includes 9 threes in those two games. Between the two, they have made 12 treys in two games. They are interchangeable, along with JJ Reyes, at this point. Much like their league rival Grandview, this team has a trio of guards who can score. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Prosser lead the CWAC in three-point field goals this season, just as they did last season. This half of the sibling combo plays with a lot of confidence as a sophomore. Both are players that you can see have grown up playing the game and now they are doing it together at the high school level as the two leading scorers thus far for Prosser.
