The 6-3 junior combo guard showed why he’s a 5-star and the 12th ranked guard in the nation, according to multiple recruiting services. Fland finished with a game-high 24 points and 5 made 3-pointers in the 52-44 win over Vashon (Missouri).
The 6-0 sophomore guard finished with 14 points and 6 rebounds in their 52-44 opening round win over Vashon (Missouri). Carbuccia also added three assists and two blocks.
The nation’s top ranked prospect in the junior class was sensational for Lake Highlands, finishing with a game-high 27 points and 9 rebounds in their 76-68 overtime win over Newton (Georgia). Johnson also dished out four assists and went 7-of-8 from the free throw line.
Highlights
The 5-10 junior point guard impacted the game in a variety of ways, adding 19 points of his own to go along with five rebounds and six assists in the overtime win. Washington was also 5-of-6 from the free throw line, with all of his attempts coming in the second half.
The 6-7 guard and future Connecticut Huskie finished with a triple-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in their 76-68 overtime loss to Lake Highlands (Texas). Castle also added three steals to his ledger. Newton will be back in action on Saturday against Charlotte (Punta Gorda) in the consolation bracket at 10:15 a.m. Eastern Time
