By now you are familiar with the SOL ballers we are talking about. Names like Qudire Bennett Qudire Bennett 6'4" | SF Plymouth Whitemash | 2023 State PA , Sean Curley Sean Curley 6'0" | SG Neshaminy | 2023 State PA , Josiah Hutson Josiah Hutson 5'9" | PG Cristo Rey Philadelphia | 2026 State PA , Tyler Meinel Tyler Meinel 6'5" | SF Central Bucks South | 2023 State PA , Kirby Mooney Kirby Mooney 6'1" | SG William Tennent | 2024 State PA , and Nate Townsend Nate Townsend 6'2" | CG Neshaminy | 2024 State PA .
Running the court with those No. 1 options will be a group of prospects who are not household names yet, but they will contribute heavily for their varsity teams this winter and potentially play at the next level.
Today we want to highlight six of these SOL athletes so this winter when someone asks you, “What’s His Name?” you will know the answer.
Nigel Adamson Nigel Adamson 6'6" | PF Cristo Rey Philadelphia | 2026 State PA – 6’5” / Sophomore / Upper Moreland / Kings Unlimited / Power Forward: Adamson is a long, athletic, and powerful combo-forward. He does the bulk of his scoring damage on post ups and second chance opportunities. However, Adamson possesses good rim to rim speed, so he frequently beats his man down the court for a lay-in. As his footwork improves, this 2025 prospect will develop into an interior force.
Jack Blum – 6’4″ / Senior / Council Rock North / Rebels Basketball Academy / Combo Guard: Blum is an automatic three pointer shooter with a quick trigger. Those assets combined with the numerous sets CRN runs to get Blum open, make him extremely difficult to guard. Blum is an underrated ball handler who can get to his mid-range spots. With his length and instincts Blum is a solid rim protector as well.
Matt Campione – 6’2” / Senior / Pennridge / East Coast Power / Shooting Guard: How a 2023 prospect who averaged 15 ppg. and posted a 42-spot last season is this underrated is beyond us. But somehow Campione, a fleet footed guard who can score at the rim or behind the arc, was overlooked by DI programs. Campione also possess the handles and court vision to run as a point guard. He is committed to Catholic University (D3) and the Cardinals got a steal.
Seaton Kukla – 6’5″ / Senior / Upper Dublin / PSB Philly-Ferrick / Small Forward: In 2022-23 Kukla should ascend to the No. 1 option for UD, and this stretch-4 prospect is ready for the spotlight. Kukla owns the low post skills and frame (200 lbs.) to score in the paint. He can drain threes at a high clip too. Plus, his mid-range game is a developing weapon. As a bonus, Kukla is a force on the glass at both ends.
Noah Schlosser Noah Schlosser 6'1" | SG Hatboro-Horsham | 2023 State PA – 6’1″ / Senior / Hatboro-Horsham / Total Skills / Shooting Guard: Schlosser (14 ppg. and 6 rpg.) is a 3-sport athlete who surprises hoops opponents with hisquickness and ability to flush in transition. He is a crafty ball handler and is especially effective with hesitation dribbles. Schlosser can score off the bounce or facilitate for teammates. His dribble pull-up game is impressive as well.
Dom Vacchiano – 6’2” / Junior / Wissahickon / Penn Warriors / Small Forward: Vacchiano (10 ppg.) is physical prospect who plays a versatile inside/outside style. During this past “fall ball” season Vacchiano impressed us with his ability carve out space on the interior, then score through contact. But do not let his football physique fool you. Vacchiano is also effective on the perimeter. He moves extremely well without the rock, knocks home threes and is a skillful passer.
