Summary: LCA struggled to score against a very disciplined and active Campbell County defense. This is a team that will continue to get better throughout the season as they have a good young core that needs some experience playing together. They have a ton of versatility and high IQ players so once they click, they could be a difficult match up.
Green is a versatile scorer that has a great feel for the game for only being a sophomore. Has good size and strength that can play any of the guard spots. Good shooter, especially off the catch. Poses as a mismatch for defenders with his ability to put the ball on the floor and shoot.
Mirus is a high motor guard that showed good vision. Threat in transition with good speed. Active defensively getting in passing lanes. Did most of his damage offensively getting to the rim.
Tyler Hall
Tyler Hall
Hall is a versatile wing that can score both off the dribble and catch. Was impressive getting to the rim and scoring thru contact. Good 3pt shooter off the catch. Did a good job scoring in a multitude of ways. Being the leading returning scorer, look for him to improve on his 11 ppg from last season.
Preston is a poised pg that helps run the team. I came away most impressed with his ability to change speeds and never really got sped up. Strong driver, especially getting to his right hand.
Connor Martin
Connor Martin
Martin is a quick guard that did a great job getting to the paint facilitating for others and finding shooters. Capable shooter from 3pt off the catch. Overall had a solid game and someone they will lean on being a senior.
Andrew Maggard
Andrew Maggard
Maggard will play valuable minutes this season for LCA. First year varsity player is an above average athlete that will give them a threat both in transition and in the half court. Only being a sophomore, will be a good player for them for the next couple of years.
