Colby Morehouse, 6’1 W – Champlain Valley Union High School Class of 2024
Long and agile, Morehouse can get hot in a hurry. Colby is a knockdown spot-up shooter who does most of his damage behind the arc but he can get after it in the mid-range too. He moves well off the ball, utilizing screens nicely or simply relocating into shooting position off of teammates drives. He has quick and smooth release, forcing defenders to close hard, which allows him to get into the second layer for pull-ups and paint finishes. I’m interested to see how his game develops.
Seth Richards, 6’6 F – BFA St. Albans High School Class of 2023
Richards plays with great energy, controlling the paint with his hustle, length, and anticipation. Seth blocks shots due to great timing, and more often than not he simply uses his presence to alter shots, remaining able to recover for dump passes. Moreover, he rebounds well not only due to his length but also his consistent box outs, reducing the chance that opponents collect many, if any, boards. Seth’s pursuit of the ball ensures tons of offensive rebounding and second chance points. I like what he brings to the table.
Tedum Tornwini, 6’0 G – Burlington High School Class of 2023
Tedum plays calm, cool, and collected, yet he’s due for a highlight play or two every time you see him. Tornwini’s athleticism is elite; he has incredible hops, quickness, and strength, which he showcases each time he’s on the floor. Tedum can rise up for jams in traffic, spike shots into the ground, and defend at a high level. Moreover, he can slip by defenders with crossovers and hesitations, finishing well with both hands around the rim and he’s got the eye to kick out when its wise. I’m excited to see him this winter.
Abdi Sharif, 5’11 G – Rice Memorial High School Class of 2025
As a freshman, Abdi got good run on a high-powered Rice team, and I anticipate he’ll take on a few more responsibilities this year even though they didn’t graduate any starters. Sharif is an electric guard who can fill it up inside or out; he’s athletic and gets to the rim well, finishing strong around the cup, and he’s a steady shooter from three. Furthermore, he pressures the ball nicely and loves turning defense into offense. Abdi will be one of the first off the bench for a strong Rice team.
Cole McAllister, 5’8 G – Spaulding High School Class of 2023
Cole plays much bigger than he is, plain and simple. McAllister has impressive elevation, able to finish at the rim amongst the trees, and he can nearly jam it on an open break. He runs transition lanes quite well too, breaking out of the pack and opening himself up for passes to thread through the defense. Moreover, he’s just as likely to rise up for a board and start the break himself. He’s a tough defender, quick and anticipatory, and his ability to rebound the rock stuck with me.
Alex Gordon Alex Gordon 5'11" | PG Brewster Academy | 2026 State New E , 6’1 G – South Burlington High School Class of 2025
When I first saw Alex play, I figured he was likely a junior, maybe a sophomore, for he plays with great composure. However, I quickly learned that he was a freshman in a starting slot; Gordon knows how to hoop. He’s a pass first PG with a secure handle and great sense of timing, hitting guys cleanly in their spots as he calmly handles ball pressure. Moreover, he can break defenders down and create his own shot or looks for others. Lastly, he’s got great instincts and hoop IQ, sliding into positions well both in man and zone defenses. I’m excited for his winter.
