Florida 2023 Rankings Round table

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The senior class had huge summers all over the state. It's a deep group that landed a few high major transfers and lost a few more. We've seen these prospects for three years, but they're still surprising with off-season play. I answer a few burning questions on this class below.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Who's your favorite riser?</strong><br>[player_tooltip player_id='709246' first='Carl' last='Parrish'] is my guy. Last year I saw him shooting from the volleyball, but they didn't connect early. This summer in the EYBL, he was taking and making those same shots. He's grown as a playmaker and saw his stock rise substantially in June and July. Parrish will take the confidence of being committed to Presbyterian University into his senior season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Which prospect from your area is ranked too low?</strong><br>[player_tooltip player_id='1463281' first='Joseph' last='Lezeau'] feels low in the late 40s. He's an athletic, high motor 6'6 forward that excels in a fast paced game. He dominated the Prep Hoops Circuit, giving teams more than they could handle on both ends. He rebounds well, defends multiple positions, is a good slasher, and makes open jumpers. He'll need to sharpen his tools to play on the wing at the next level. There's a lot to like about the hidden gem.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Who has the potential to outplay their ranking next season?</strong><br>My guess would be [player_tooltip player_id='1642704' first='Latrell' last='Davis']. The British product had a monster summer overseas and a nice performance against Sierra Canyon in August. He's a powerful 6'2 guard that can defend and play both backcourt positions. It's his first year playing in the southwest Florida area. Few will be able to handle what Davis offers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Will anyone play their way onto this list?</strong><br>This is easily the hardest question. The 2023 class is filled with guys who can play lower-level hoops at college. There are so many that our 200 players cut off, leaving at least 20 guys that our team considered at spots 170-200. Jahmier Henderson is my pick. We're talking about an extremely bouncy wing that's made strides over the last few months. If he can turn it into a memorable season that shows off his athleticism, defensive tools, and spot shot making, he'll earn his spot in the rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
