There were 8 local teams I watched and here were some of the sophomore and freshman standouts:

2025

[player_tooltip player_id='1366003' first='Jaden' last='Vance'] AZ Compass Prep Black

A long wing is a defensive menace. He has a huge wingspan to make his presence felt with deflections, steals and blocks. He can shoot it from the perimeter but likes attacking the basket. He showed his bounce with an impressive left hand dunk on the break.

[player_tooltip player_id='1449296' first='Majak' last='Thokbor'] Dream City Christian Open

Whenever you watch them play, it hard to not notice Majak. He is a legit seven-feet and is a fluid runner. He will rim run, block shots better then most in the class and rebound. He made a few good passes when he was double teamed. He can keep progressing catching the ball in traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150845' first='Quinn' last='Athanassoulis'] Dream City Christian Open

A catch three point shooter who can work inside with his improved size. He can create his own offense and score on runners or grab boards for offensive rebound put backs. He has one of the prettier looking shooting strokes in the soph class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150825' first='Iyayi' last='Osunde'] Dream City Christian Open

A very good showing for Osunde. He is a well rounded defensive minded guard. His length allows him to pester his opponents and collect steals in the passing lanes plus grab out of area rebounds. He also scores the ball effectively with drives to the rim, transition buckets and pull-ups.

[player_tooltip player_id='1237854' first='Jaion' last='Pitt'] Dream City Christian International (Pictured)

A versatile power forward is rounding out his game with drives, catch triples, he can rip through and scores often on put backs. He is good in transition with dunks and tough layups. He will defend inside on the post players and move in space on the guards and wings.

2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1464982' first='Miles' last='Sadler'] Dream City Christian Open

A strong freshman who makes threes off the pull and gets inside the paint often with his stocky frame. He is not afraid to attack the post defenders with a fearless approach. His hesitation dribble gets his defender off balance so he can get to the paint and will usually finish off contested layups. He will hound his opposing guards all game long.
