[player_tooltip player_id='1575685' first='Tyrin' last='Jones'] || Layton Christian Academy || 2025 ||

Look out because this kid has game and he has a shot to play at the highest level. Tyrin is young for his age and he has size. Entering his sophomore year he has a chance at playing a major role for his high school team that is one of the best teams in their classification. With lead guard skills at 6'6 Tyrin is a matchup nightmare, do not be surprised if ends up 6'8 +. With a good feel for the game and a nice looking jumper to pair along side of an elite attacking package Tyrin is set to have himself a great sophomore campaign. He is thin but in time he can turn more of that into a strong frame. Look for him to have some standout games this season, he is a must watch that should develop nicely.

[player_tooltip player_id='969630' first='Bron' last='Roberts'] || Pleasant Grove High School || 2023 ||

Well, it happened, [player_tooltip player_id='969630' first='Bron' last='Roberts'] is on the roster over at Pleasant Grove High School where he actually lives. This is one of the biggest transfers we have seen this year. He turns PG into an automatic contender. The things that he can do on the floor are well noted, but what he does to their roster are game changers. I mean PG could start 6'11, 6'9, 6'9, 6'4. 6'3 especially because [player_tooltip player_id='1199505' first='Isaac' last='Garrett'] can play the three if he needs too. Bron brings shot blocking ability and a different presence in the paint. Bron can roam off the ball and block shots and get rebounds. Excited to see him on the floor again after taking a break from basketball this grassroots season. Bron did get an offer from Stanford a year ago and other programs could still be interested if his desire to play at the next level is still there.

[player_tooltip player_id='1146657' first='Jason' last='Peterson'] || Bingham High School || 2025 ||

Just because Bingham lost a lot of players due to graduation you cannot sleep on them because they have some young talent that really competes. Jason Petersen is on that list that has turned it up this summer and fall. Jason has some size and will likely be a true 3 when it comes to positions. He can slide over to the off-guard if they go big and even slide down and hold his own for a bit at the 4. Jason has a nice shot and he has some good strong moves. Excited to see what he can bring to the table at the varsity level. One thing is for sure he brings a lot of energy and passion to the team on both ends of the floor.

Three Prediction

1 . There will be no undefeated teams in 6A and 5A as there is too much talent across the state and every team is challenging themselves. Most of the top teams play some top tier talent across the country.

2 . The RPI this year is likely to drive people nuts because so many good teams are taking their talents on the road and will have some tough losses to big time teams that the RPI will not capture. It's going to be chaos. Expect the top teams to not be #1's when the RPI comes out.

3 . The shot clock is going to be the best thing to ever come to Utah since fry sauce. Strategy and the end of stall ball is better for players and fans alike.

Three Matchups

Summit Academy vs. Mount Vernon

Giving the small schools some love and word on the streets is that The Bears have something cooking out in Bluffdale. They have a couple of bigs that will be tough, especially when they're on the floor together. . 6'6 Sherlock Padmore and 6'8 [player_tooltip player_id='1541938' first='Garon' last='Dustin']. They play Waterford the night before.

Layton Christian vs. Orem

A team full of veteran players against a team full of young guns. Should be a great game. [player_tooltip player_id='1332624' first='Souleymane' last='Barro'] vs. [player_tooltip player_id='1278444' first='Kai' last='Wesley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1278443' first='Anthony' last='Felesi'] vs. [player_tooltip player_id='1402371' first='Tyrese' last='Lacey']. Interesting game Day 2.

Sunrise Christian, Kansas vs. AZ Compass, Arizona

Clear the calendar this is a must watch game on the 23rd of November over at Pleasant Grove High School. This is ESPN #2 vs. #3 and the place will likely be loaded with spectators.
