Continue ReadingJohnson moves into the top spot after a big summer and tons of high major interest and offers. Already on the radar as a top 30-50 prospect in America in the 2025 class, Jasper has interest from the blue bloods of college basketball. The lefty is smooth and quick to get downhill but is also a confident jumper shooter from deep range.
Moreno has big time long term upside thanks to his elite size but slips a spot to second overall in this update. Malachi is a high level rim protector but his offense is still coming along at this point. He’s shown the ability to face up and shoot the ball and has shown flashes of being an excellent passer from the high post area.
EJ’s recruiting continues to skyrocket as he has recently started adding offers from Big Ten schools and has some of the blue bloods coming through NKY to check him out. Walker is super skilled and has shown he can score with his back to the basket or facing up. His ceiling will be determined on what positions he shows he is comfortable guarding at the next level.
Vince has a smooth game and is good at getting to his spot and getting buckets at all three levels. The only missing aspect to Dawson’s game is playing above the rim but that should come as he stops growing and gets more work on the Vertimax. Look for the big guard to lead Great Crossing in scoring again this season.

You could put any of the Western 2025 kids in this spot and not get a ton of argument but recency bias puts Edmonds in the 5 spot. Coming off a game where he was the best player on the floor for a loaded Western team, JuJu moves back into the top 5. His perimeter skills continue improving but as he becomes a better shooter, Edmonds will be a tough cover for any opposing defense.
The next Western product, “Musa” is a walking highlight and one of the best athletes in Kentucky, regardless of class. Clinton still needs to improve his shooting and his ball handling to be considered a shooting guard but he can play on or off the ball in stretches. His long term potential is as high as anyone in Kentucky and should be a high major recruit.
Carter racked up multiple offers this summer and it’s easy to see why. Zander is a high level shooter that has improved a ton at putting the ball on the floor and attacking the rim. As he continues to improve his playmaking skills, look for the 6’5 guard to continue boosting his college stock and don’t be surprised when high majors come calling this summer.

Austin may have the quickest first step on this list as he excels at getting by his defender and getting into the paint. An above average midrange jump shooter, Sperry is one of the state’s leading scorers. The knock against the 6’3 guard is his lack of interest in defending but he has the physical tools to be a lockdown defender when he decides he wants to be.
One of the bigger movers in this update, Isaiah earned his first 2 D1 offers this summer and looks like he should have more coming his way eventually. Cochran needs to continue working on his overall athleticism but once he stops growing, Isaiah’s body should fill out and get more athletic. His best basketball is all still ahead of him for sure.
