Makhi Williams | 6’0” | G | Leonia
Williams had a breakout junior year for Leonia, averaging 13PPG and went over 20 on several occasions. A tough on ball defender who runs the floor well with the ball in his hands and finishes well at the rim through traffic. He’s also got ability to hit beyond the three point line. He had 24 vs Bergen Charter, 23 vs Pal Park and 22 vs Lyndhurst as top games as a junior.
Edward Burgos | 6’0” | G | Harrison
Harrison struggled last winter as a team, but Burgos had a solid junior season for himself. He led Harrison in scoring, averaging 15 PPG. He’ a dangerous shooter from beyond the arc and has a quick release on his jumper. He can create his own shot off the dribble and is a high percentage shooter if he gets a good look. He can also weave his way through defenders to get at the rim. He had a season high of 33 agaisnt McNair.
Adrian Mouzone Adrian Mouzone 5'11" | PG Paterson Charter | 2023 State NJ | 5’11” | G | Paterson Charter
Mouzone was a multi-sport athlete and earned all-county honors in football playing at Paterson Kennedy. He was a key contributor off the bench for a deep Paterson Charter team. He’ll be one of the only players on the squad coming back with any type of varsity experience and will be asked to play a leading role as a senior. He had 14 vs Hackensack last winter as his top game.
Brandon Gasiewski| 6’1” | G | South Amboy
South Amboy has often produced college players in spite of being one of the smallest “traditional” high schools in the state–specifically when George Krzyzanowski was the man in charge. Gasiewski is a lean guard who can light it up from deep. Hit 62 threes as a junior and went for 27 against Wardlaw. Like the other South Amboy players of note before him, he’d be a good fit at a D3 program. Also plays baseball and could be a sought after prospect there.
Shawn Purcell | 5’11” | G | Manville
Purcell is a multi sport athlete. He is a slasher who gets to the rim with a quick first step. He’s got good leaping ability and can throw it down, even with defenders closing him down through traffic. He can hit shots from beyond the arc and facilitates in the backcout. A tough defending guard who cleans up the glass with authority against the small school opponents Manville plays. He also plays football. He had 22 vs Brearley, 16 vs Academy for Urban Leadership. He had 5 double-doubles, including against Pingry, North Plainfield and went over 10 pts almost every night.
