I’m starting to think that Williams is one of those kids that’ll be great at everything he tries. He’s committed to play football at Grand Valley State University, but I’m holding out hope that he and the school give hoops a look as well. Williams is a tall and long forward that can defend the perimeter and in the paint and is threat to score in both spots too. He’s continued to add strength and muscle to his frame and will be very tough for a high school forward to defend physically.

Hazelton is a supremely talented and versatile player. Quite frankly, I really believe that he has one of the highest ceilings of any and all prospects in the state. His older brother Reece was a star at Glen Lake and is currently playing at Ferris State. Honestly, I think Luke might be even a little more polished of a player coming out of high school. Either way, Michigan Tech got a steal with this young man. He can maipulate matchups and play outside-in as well as inside-out.
Sulaka has really polished his game over the last calendar year, which included a state title last high school season. He has committed to Western Michigan University and should be a great fit with Coach Stephens and a currently Michigan dominated roster (there 9 players from the state currently on the roster). Sulaka is a premier defensive force that has a nose for the ball and when a shot goes up. Opposing guards have to be very wary of him when they drive the lane.
Last year was “The Hutch Ward Hutch Ward 6’8″ | PF Kalamazoo Central | 2023 State MI Explosion”. For his senior season, I’m taking requests as to the title. All of that aside, Ward has turned into a premier prospect and a key piece in what could very well end up as one of the best recruiting classes that Wayne State has ever seen. They have a group of players coming in that I’d be excited about at a D1 level. Ward is an elite shooter that can bury a triple from anywhere across the arc and can do it even with a hand in his face.

Thomas is a supremely talented forward that can be a nuisance in the paint for his opponents and can stretch the defense at the 4 as well. He has good feet and good hips, allowing for smooth hip movement and horizontal flow. This helps him rotate quickly to play help defense and change direction and rim run on the offensive end. Thomas can be a threat with the ball at all 3 levels. He can attack the rim from the free throw line and either finish with flare or kick out to open shooters.
