Eaton has committed to Central Michigan University. The fast footed lead guard has really put his game together over the last year. He puts a ton of pressure on the defense with his quickness, speed, and ball handling. Eaton has a quick first step with the ball which puts him in position to make plays.
There has been a lot written about “The Hutch Ward Hutch Ward 6’8″ | PF Kalamazoo Central | 2023 State MI Explosion” since his elevated play in the state tournament last season. Ward went from a pretty good shooter at the 4, to a lights out sniper from behind the arc. He also added a lot of nastiness on his finishes at the rim. Ward has become an elite prospect driven by his play with the Michigan Cagers on the Prep Hoops Circuit.

This young man leapfrogged up the rankings list, and deservedly so. Boggerty showed that he could play very well both on and off the ball. If his team needs it, he can play the role as a primetime scorer. Boggerty can also facilitate with the ball, finding open teammates and getting the ball where it needs to go.

SEC opponents need to very aware of Dickerson this season. He really proved himself at the Prep Hoops Top 250. He had the look of silky smooth wing that made plays in the open floor. Dickerson was strong enough to take a straight line drive to the rim and finish through his defender.

Honestly, I’m not looking at the number on this one. I have no idea where he was on the list previously and it really doesn’t matter. This young man can play. Zielinski is a much improved ball handler as of this summer, even showing the ability to play the point. This has added to his versatility, as he has the strength and toughness to defend all the way to the 4.
Caswell is another example of the number not being important. He has solidified himself as a dangerous prospect and a next level talent. Caswell is a shooter at heart that can bury triples at a very high percentage. He has a really high offensive IQ, highlighted by his ability to recognize what is a good shot and when he should take it.
The Prep Hoops Top 250 is the top collection of talent in the state come showcase season. That being said, Tomassi was one of the highlights of that event in my eyes. He was effectively aggressive throughout the event. The pace of the game with elite players not only didn’t bother him, he was better in that environment. A college coach could land in absolute steal in Tomassi.
