Dickerson’s stock rising isn’t really about the number. I don’t if he rose, or by how much if he did. I just know what people are saying now as opposed to a year ago. I’ll pat myself on the shoulder and that I knew this was coming. Dickerson is an influential player on both ends of the floor. He’s been more aggressive offensively this season and it’s served him well.

I’ve thought a lot of Dickerson’s game for many years now. He’s really put it on display this year and coaches and fans have taken note. He’s strong and athletic off the wing and is a very valuable 2 way player.

I’m a huge fan of Dickerson’s upside and we saw just that in the beginning of the game. Huron’s fast start was the difference in the game and that quick beginning felt like it was spearheaded by Dickerson’s play. He scored quickly and impressively in the game. First he buried a mid range jumper then he turned the corner on his defender and got to the free throw line where he buried both attempts. After that, Dickerson shook off a defender and connected on a three pointer.

I got to see Dickerson up close and personal at the Top 250 and I was blown away. This young man can make things happen in the open floor as well as in a halfcourt set. He’s at a different level even than he was last year. Dickerson’s strength, length and athleticism could be tough to match up with in District 18.

SEC opponents need to very aware of Dickerson this season. He really proved himself at the Prep Hoops Top 250. He had the look of silky smooth wing that made plays in the open floor. Dickerson was strong enough to take a straight line drive to the rim and finish through his defender.

Dickerson brought athleticism and playmaking to his team. He could play at any speed and create.

Dickerson is a smooth athlete that plays athletically on both ends. He used that athleticism to snag a steal early in the day. Dickerson did a nice job forcing low percentage decisions that led to steals by engulfing his man with good feet and length.

Dickerson caught my eye in the first game of the day. I really like his combination of size, strength, and athleticism. He looked like a natural slasher that liked to go at the rim. Dickerson did a very nice job of both finding and creating his own driving lanes. I thought that he was a smart passer in that game as well.

Let’s start off by saying that this young man has a very legitimate argument to be #1. It could probably go either way. Dickerson has as much upside and recruitability as anybody in the city of Ann Arbor. He’s a natural slasher that attacks the rim off the bounce. He’s a high percentage finisher that can keep control in traffic around the rim.

Dickerson has the ability to draw a lot of attention at the Top 250. He’s a terrific all around athlete and can attack the rim with that athleticism. He can plant his foot and change direction with ease in the open floor making him a very tough cover. There would be more than a few college coaches interested in seeing him play in Grand Rapids.
