Eaton has really put his game together and ended the summer playing some very high level basketball. His quickness and blow by ability are big time strengths of his and something that he’ll be able to utilize not just in high school, but at the next level as well. Eaton seems to be on a path to have a memorable senior season.
Nausadis is probably one of the better basketball players to ever call Traverse City home. That’s not a knock on TC, but a huge compliment to the player. He’s a natural scorer that holds an eye for the bucket and can work his way through double teams and still put the ball in the basket. Nausadis is a tremendous shooter that can hit the 3 ball at a very high percentage.
Taylor is a special talent. He’s the the classic point guard that makes the players around him better. Taylor is a true student of the game, quite possibly holding the highest basketball IQ in the state. He plays such a beautiful style of controlled and efficient basketball, yet staying loose and free and letting his skills dominate the game. Taylor should be in any all Mr. Basketball conversations.
I’ve always been a big fan of Wilson’s game and his overall upside as a prospect. He can get up and go down the court in a hurry off the bounce, putting a lot of pressure on a scrambling defense. Wilson also pushes the pace with the pass and finds space on the perimeter when the ball kicks back to him. He has some real explosiveness to his game that could continue to develop and be a big strength at the next level.
Sometimes as a scout, you need to stand by your beliefs. Well, I believe in Olafioye. We can go over his skill set time and time again, but not today. Today, let’s focus on the fact that the kid is a winner. He led Ecorse on a magical state playoff run last season and has them in position to have an excellent season this year. Olafioye leads with grit and determination and is willing to put his team on his back.
