These players have the takeover factor in their blood and know how to get the job done! From seeing box and ones, double team, and hearing the crowd antics these players have been through it all and still go out to get the job done.
TJ Williams TJ Williams 6'5" | SG Wichita Heights | 2024 State #176 Nation KS – The D1 prospect entering his senior year is looking to bring another state championship back to heights this season. One of the best players in the state, with his 6’4″ frame lefty, he will be able to cause a lot of mismatches again this season making it extremely difficult to defend him or his loaded heights team. One thing you have to love about him is his ability to score the ball in the flow of his offense instead of playing iso ball. From finishing above the rim with a dunk, shooting the 3-pointer, and dribbling through the defense, Williams has offers from Tennessee, Texas Tech, Mizzou, and Wichita State all for a good reason.
Kellan Simoneau Kellan Simoneau 6'2" | PG Rose Hill | 2023 State KS – The guard for Rose Hill is a lights-out shooter since he’s stepped foot on the court. Kellan has made an impact for Rose Hill on the varsity level since he’s been a freshman. Entering his senior season and has grabbed a few offers from colleges over the summer, he will look to finish what he started doing it on both ends of the floor! Kellan has shown over the previous years that he can defend the other team’s best players, initiate the offense, and be the point guard, lead the team in rebounds or lead the team in scoring. From his elite shooting ability, his mid range pull up or floaters at the rim, kellan has the total package.
Kobe Smith Kobe Smith 6'1" | CG Andover Central | 2023 State KS – One of the most highly touted players in the city, from his fadeaways in the midrange area to his athletic ability on the defensive end to get his teams stops, he has what it takes to be a player of the year. When you watch Smith play, you will leave being entertained by a player who can single handedly win his team a game and it doesn’t help that he has a great supporting cast behind him as well. He can shoot off balance shots, he plays the passing lane on the defensive end extremely well, its not much Kobe cant do. His strength when hes finishing at the rim goes under the radar so he’s a better finisher than most anticipate.
Eli Shetlar Eli Shetlar 6'4" | SG Andover | 2023 State KS – The recent D1 commit to Indiana State is poised to finish his senior season off at Andover the best way possible! His numbers will come second to none with his smooth jumper shooting over everyone and now hes putting players on a poster it will be nearly impossible to stop him. Eli has elite footwork when hes getting into his shot no matter if its coming off a screen or a catch and shoot in transition. Eli shot is so quick its hard to predict when he will raise up to shoot it because of how smooth his pick up is off the dribble. Shetlar supporting cast is just as good as any so they will look to support their player of the year candidate.
Marcus Ziegler- Marcus aka “Zig” is as good as they come! Playing on that loaded heights team, you can almost say hes the head of the snake. From elite handles, his ability to be a pest on the defensive end full court, and whats clear as day to the naked eye is his shiftiness. Marcus can get anywhere he wants to on the court without anyone stopping him. He can shoot it with the best of the them and really can create space for himself when all else fails. Marcus is one of your favorite true PGs in the state becsausd of how he demands excellence from himself and his team. His consistency in his play alone separates him from the rest of the competition.
