Roundtable: Preseason All Senior Teams

He was an All State selection last year and is the leading scorer returning for a King's Fork team who will make another run at a state championship. He's going to put up big numbers as a scorer and a facilitator, there were just so many guards to consider and unfortunately he was just left out.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Adam</strong>: [player_tooltip player_id='999626' first='Khalil' last='Williams'] of Potomac School. Smith is one of the more versatile players in the state at his position, but the question of how competitive this good Collegiate team will be in the stacked VISAA D1 played a role. There's also the question of if he will put up the gaudy scoring numbers some others will, which isn't a bad thing because his game is much more than just scoring the ball. Tough one to leave out.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Adam</strong>: [player_tooltip player_id='1483002' first='Paul' last='Anderson'] of South County. There's no question he is one of the better players in the northern region. He was a tough omission from the initial list.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>3. Who was the toughest player to place on the list?</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:image {"id":1459324,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"media"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/05/Clark-AJ-757.jpg"><img src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/05/Clark-AJ-757-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-1459324"/></a><figcaption>[player_tooltip player_id='999636' first='AJ' last='Clark']</figcaption></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Jack</strong>: For me, Abingdon's [player_tooltip player_id='1159838' first='Evan' last='Ramsey'] because he's been injured and we don't know what to fully expect from him. As a sophomore he led Abingdon to a state championship appearance and looked like one of the best up and coming prospects in SWVA. If he can get back to that level they'll be a tough team to stop this year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Adam</strong>: Probably [player_tooltip player_id='999636' first='AJ' last='Clark']. An argument was made for him to be on the second team, but we settled on third given the depth of talent on his squad.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
