That got me thinking…..who are some of the top high school basketball players in Michigan named Ryan? Let’s take a look at some of the Ryan’s that play at a high level in Michigan.
Hurst certainly does all Ryan’s very proud. He’s an elite scoring guard that gets buckets in a variety of ways. Hurst is a menace in the open floor, filling the wing with speed and a more than steady finisher. He also has a jumper with range extending beyond the arc.
Apparently if you want an athletic child in Michigan, naming him Ryan is a good start. Martin is a smooth moving guard that can find lanes to the rim and make things happen from there. He has good length and carries a ton of upside as a prospect.
Tschirhart is a big time player from a small town. Definitely the kind of basketball player that deserves more press than he probably gets on a statewide scale. He can score in bunches and has the ability to bury a jumper even with a hand in his face. Tschirhart does a very nice job running off screens and converting on catch and shoot opportunities from there.

Kiesling has done a nice job developing a really impressive all around game. He just contributes in so many ways. He plays and rebounds bigger than his height and is alwaysa threat to throw up a double-double. Kiesling can defend multiple positions, picking up steals and blocks on a regular basis.
Hatcher is a high level guard that college coaches are taking a serious interest in. He’s quick up the floor with or without the ball. Hatcher has a pretty looking jumper and he’s shows very intelligent shot selection to go with it. Hatcher is probably underrated as a floor general and as a passer.
Neal could have a very bright future in the game of basketball. His overall floor game is very mature for an underclassmen. He’s a quick guard that can show off a dangerously fast first step to the rim. Neal does a nice job controlling pace and setting the table for his teammates.

Rouse has some game to him. From what I see, he does a nice job letting his toughness set the tone for the rest of his game. He’s able to take a game in stride, knowing and believing that he can make the key play. Rouse is a solid ball handler that doesn’t waste a dribble. He goes with a purpose and gets the ball where it needs to be.
