On September 6th I attended the AZ Compass Prep Fall League in Chandler, AZ.
I took in 2 games on this night and I will be back the next week.
Here were the underclassmen standouts from the four teams viewed:
2025
Jaion Pitt Jaion Pitt 6'7" | PF Canyon International Academy | 2025 State #90 Nation AZ Dream City International
An athletic power forward is steadily improving his game. He springs up to dunk the ball and uses his high motor to grab out of area rebounds or will score on put backs and hook shots near the rim. But he is hitting shots more consistently from the perimeter. He can now comfortably make threes and mid-range jumpers.
Thokbor Majak Thokbor Majak 7'0" | C Canyon International Academy | 2024 State AZ Dream City International
A high level rim runner moves fluidly around the court like a wing. He has college size already and he seems to block everything in his area and will even block perimeter shooters. He can catch and shoot from mid-range but most of his scoring comes off rim run dunks.
Noah George Noah George 6'3" | CG Canyon International Academy | 2026 State AZ Dream City International
A long scoring guard is a known three point shooter. He has a quicker release and loves it off the catch. He is slowly getting a little shiftier with his handle and is creating more offense for himself. He makes smart decisions with the ball and will make the extra pass.
Iyayi Osunde Iyayi Osunde 6'0" | CG Dream City Christian | 2025 State AZ Dream City International
A defensive combo guard is one of the better on-ball defenders for position in the class. He has a high IQ to make plays and will throw a perfect dime for lobs and will drive and kick it. He can hit the three off the catch but his unusual long arms and good lateral quicks allows him to disrupt the passing lanes and be a ball hawk to pester opposing guards.

Elijah Williams Elijah Williams 6'5" | SF Brother Rice | 2026 State MI Dream City Open
A bigger wing from his class does many things well. He likes attacking the basket in traffic and will absorb any contact to score through it. He grabs out of area rebounds and will score it or get himself to the free throw line. He is stronger then most freshman and fights hard in the paint. He can make off balanced shots plus make the catch three.
Miles Sadler Miles Sadler 5'11" | PG Canyon International Academy | 2026 State AZ Dream City Open
A scoring lead guard is a tough on ball defender with real speed. He can hit the catch three and pull-up from mid-range off the dribble. He does love getting into the paint using an incredible burst of speed. He will go coast to coast often after he rebounds the ball. He is definitely an entertaining player to view.
2027
Paul Osaruyi Paul Osaruyi 6'10" | PF Canyon International Academy | 2027 State AZ Dream City Christian Open (Pictured)
A long fluid wing forward with incredible size for position. I assumed he was a rising junior or maybe a soph but he is only in 8th grade, I was surprised to say the least. He moves well from end to end and he will throw it down easily. He can hit the three and get to the rim. His length and size allows him to defend multiple positions.
