SubscribeThe new addition to Westover had an impressive showing during 9DIME Fall League and we fully expect him to transition into the season smoothly and make an early impact scoring and rebounding. He recently picked up a D1 offer from ECU and holds interest from various MM and HM college programs.
We got the opportunity to get an early look at him over the summer as well as during Fall League and we fully expect him to have a big-time season. His ability to score the ball was on display on both occasions so don’t be surprised to see him in the mix as one of the leading scorers in Cumberland County public schools.
He’s coming off his best season of his high school career and already has made his college commitment which should allow him to fully focus on his season. We fully expect him to get a high number of touches due to the offense pretty much being ran through him and once you add in the fact that he won’t see too many players his height in the conference, he should be in the POY mix.
We saw some flashes of what he could potentially be last season as he put together several big-time games which included a 30 Point game against Apex-Friendship. He’s a smaller guard but don’t let that fool you, he plays the game with toughness and has a gift for putting the ball in the bucket.
College coaches will want to go ahead and get to know this young man sooner than later as he has all the tools to be a special prospect. The jump that he’s made in production from his Sophomore year to Junior has been very impressive and we only expect him to continue to improve.
