Barnes is another stock-rising forward prospect with some versatility to go along with his game. He’s shown he can create off the bounce on the interior as well as on the perimeter given his ability to handle the ball, shoot from the perimeter and finish around the rim. He plays a physical brand of basketball that’s hard to find these days, which makes him worthy of attention from DII and DIII programs in the region.

He knocks down shots from three point land with high efficiency, rebounds the ball well and makes plays above the rim when needed. There is plenty to like about what he currently brings to the table and his potential to be a very solid college player.

Barnes was impressive in the Terry Sanford backcourt despite the result. He showed he could knock down shots on the perimeter and operate off the bounce with a slew of made buckets and showed he could get his nose dirty on the defensive/rebounding front. He’s a 2024 prospect with promise in the 910 area.

Put together one of his better all-around games of the season in their matchup with TCS. He knocked down shots from three point land at a nice rate, rebounded the ball at a solid rate and got a good amount of his offense within the flow of the team offense. He seems to be more comfortable with his role on this squad and we only expect for him to continue to progress over the remainder of the year and into the summer.
