The event featured instruction and a whole lot of gameplay, as each camper got an opportunity to play four full-length games. The event provided a terrific platform for players to get out, get seen, and put themselves on the Prephoops rankings radar. The Camp featured some good guard play as well. Here’s a look at the top Pg’s and Combos from the event.
Treston Davis Treston Davis 5'6" | PG Liberty | 2026 State NV PG 5’7 Liberty 2026 – Davis caught my eye right away, he showed some shiftiness and the ability to handle the ball against pressure. He was able to penetrate and did a decent job protecting the ball as well as facilitating for teammates.
Cameron Kiper Cameron Kiper 6'0" | PG Mater East | 2025 State NV 5’10 PG Mater East 2025 – The lefty is quick and possesses a decent handle. He showed some terrific blow-by ability getting to the rim off the bounce. His Shiftyness and a good wiggle caught my eye.
Jalen Butler 6’2 CG Shadow Ridge 2025 (#28PHN 2025) – Butler was named my top overall prospect at the camp. He was tremendous on the offensive side, with his best skill being his 1 v 1 ability. Butler showed an advanced ability to create space for himself and finished plays with a nice-looking jumper. Overall his game could best be described as smooth. In addition to the 1 v1 ability, he was able to slash to the rim and showed some athleticism finishing plays with some high-flying dunks.
JC Marquicias JC Marquicias 5'9" | PG Wooster | 2024 State NV 5’9 PG Wooster 2024 – I really liked the pace Marquicias played with, he always seemed to be under control and seemed to make the correct decision every time down. He showed enough skill to get by defenders and knocked down his share of jumpers both in catch and shoot and when pulling up from mid-range.
Malik Vaden Malik Vaden 5'7" | PG Wooster | 2026 State NV 5’6 PG Wooster 2026 – Vaden was a young PG that impressed with his IQ. He also proved to be a willing passer. Vaden did a good job of making the easy pass as well as some advanced ones, hitting teammates with dimes off the dribble.
Luke Wohl Luke Wohl 5'11" | CG Silverado | 2024 State NV 5’11 Wohl 2024 (#62PHN 2024) – I liked the motor that Wohl played with, and his offense wasn’t half bad. He was at his best when he was out in transition, as Wohl showed a tremendous ability to get to the bucket and finish. He’s a terrific example of why playing hard is so important, as Wohl’s energy, went a long way to highlighting his other skills.
Jake Wohl Jake Wohl 6'1" | CG Silverado | 2024 State NV 6’1 PG Silverado 2024 (#63PHN 2024) – Jake had a lot of similarities in his game to his brother Luke. Like his twin, he played with high effort and energy. They scored in different ways, however, as Wohl had himself a game in the last contest of the night spraying threes from all over the court, putting together one of the top performances of the event.
Khamari Taylor Khamari Taylor 5'11" | CG Desert Oasis | 2024 State NV 5’11 CG Desert Oasis 2024 (#21PHN 2024) – Taylor was the best defensive player at the camp, and I didn’t think it was even close. He picked several players clean showing elite on ball defensive skills. His offense wasn’t half bad either, he was one of the best downhill players at the camp, and he showed an array of advanced finishing moves, including Euro’s and 1, 2 finishes.
Jordan Childress Jordan Childress 5'10" | PG Rancho | 2024 State NV 6’0 PG Rancho 2024 (#34PHN 2024) – Whenever I watch Childress play, he reminds me of a 1970s NYC playground legend. He has an orthodox game that includes pump fakes as well as finishes with both hands around the rim. The lefty did a good job of finishing both over and under defenders in the paint.
