Our next feature takes us to Polk County, the home of the Victory Christian Academy Storm. Victory Christian finished the 2021-2022 season ranked No. 6 in the state for Class 2A and reached the regional semifinals where they lost to eventual state champion Orlando Christian Prep.

Cason is one of the state’s top point guards to keep an eye on in this upcoming junior class. Cason plays with an aggressive attribute to his game and is unafraid to attack downhill. Cason scores in a variety of ways whether it’s in transition or catch and shoot. Cason holds offers from Chattanooga, High Point, Jacksonville State, New Mexico State, Presbyterian, Stetson, Stony Brook and VCU.

Andino plays with pace and has a high basketball IQ. Andino is one of the best perimeter shooters you will find in the area, as he knocked down eight three-pointers in a 32 point performance back in July. Andino is un-phased when it comes to shining in the spotlight and is a score-first guard.

Lightsey plays under control, while he doesn’t light up the scoreboard with his stats, he plays with an unselfish attitude and is always getting his teammates involved. Lightsey does all the dirty work whether it’s taking a charge or get a key assist to start a scoring run. Excited to see what this kid brings as he’s entering his junior season at Victory Christian Academy.

Lanier comes over to Victory Christian from Clearwater Calvary Christian this off-season, where he will be running the backcourt with Lorenzo Cason Lorenzo Cason 6’2″ | PG Victory Christian | 2024 State #75 Nation FL and Mike Andino Mike Andino 6’0″ | PG Victory Christian Academy | 2024 State FL . Lanier plays tough as nails and is a highly athletic two-way guard. Lanier will play both ends of the basketball with the same intensity and is looking to take the next step of his high school career. Lanier does a phenomenal job at attacking the basket and getting to the free throw line. Big junior season ahead for the 6-3 guard.

Scott plays with speed and confidence which is good for his size. Scott also knows how to keep the game under control and has a will to attack the basket when he can. During the AAU season, Scott averaged 15 points per game and stood out at multiple events. Scott will be one of the top sophomores to watch in the Tampa Bay area this upcoming season.
